Notre Dame is finally up. This is going to be a See-Saw battle. Nervous about the ND kicker. He can't keep it straight. Almost didn't make the extra point.

So happy for Rich Rod. too much damn drama surrounding his program at the moment, and he's a good guy (despite the media stuff). I might be even happier that ND lost though Can't wait to see what the sportswriters have to say next week

Man. Never before have I seen a game in week 2 with two teams who combined for 15 losses the year before hold such "significance". So Michigan beat the overhyped Notre Dame. Now we're going to hear about how "Michigan is back". I will say Forcier looked good though.

I'm glad to see they've recovered, cfb is better with them being a football factory.

I don't think anyone is ready to say Michigan is back...yet. As a diehard fan, I am just happy to say that they are on their way back...FINALLY! I am loving Tate Forcier. I thought he would be good, but not this good.

OSU/USC is turning out to be a good game, tied at the half. I though USC would destroy them again.

I doubted it, you don't lose 11 starters(12 if you count the punter) and then lose a starting CB and have mays get hurt and roll right over a team. Its 2006 all over again

talk about this last usc drive a hurt freshy qb!!!...

lol I just don't know how you lose that game, with OSU's lines playing amazing ball to lose that game on a 90+ yard drive wow.

Herb seemed so deflated, all that redemption talk.

*lol herbs already lobbying for them to be in the national championship after a loss

But big props to OSU's lines they played amazing.

I think the end of the USC/Ohio State game was a classic example of a great team finding a way to win in the end and persevering. Big win for USC, Barkley is going to be a good one.

Yep, clutch coaching and clutch drive, from a hurt freshman qb.

I definitely concur with that. But, I'm still not convinced about Shannon talking this team to the promise land. That remains to be seen.

Yeah, they definitely have more players and are getting kids to come back, but we'll know in a year or two if he is the man to get them back.

Well the announcers of the game actually said at the end of the game "They're ba-ack" in a taunting tone. And now of course Michigan is somehow a top 25 team. I thought it was nuts for Notre Dame to be ranked to begin with, but now Michigan being ranked just because they beat Notre Dame?
Not as bad as Oklahoma State being ranked ahead of Houston after losing to them by 10. But this one takes the cake. Norman Chad of SI.com now says Matt Barkley will win the Heisman as a freshman. Good grief. I knew the media were nuts, but it's getting ridiculous.

Michigan won their 1st game by 24 and just beat a top 25 team, #18 in one of the polls. I am a biased fan, but I don't see how it is nuts for them to be ranked now.

As for Barkley winning the Heisman...that is ridiculous and Chad should be demoted for writing that.

Notre Dame was a pretty questionable top 25 team though. It was more based on name recognition and the fact that everyone thought they would have a good chance at a 1 or 2 loss season due to the weak schedule. I may end up eating crow, but I don't see how Michigan can be a top 25 team at this point coming off a 9 loss season and beating a team coming off of a 6 loss season. Although I'm much happier with Michigan getting hype than Notre Dame. At least some of the Michigan hype now is founded on game action, whereas the Notre Dame hype was due to a weak schedule. I would love it though it Nebraska and Michigan both surprised the country and go undefeated and play at the end of the season for the National Championship. I know wishful thinking, but we'd finally get the Nebraska-Michigan NC game we should've had 12 years ago.
