There’s no free shipping offered for this deal. No idea why they do this, but I double checked when I had $100 worth in my cart. Instead I only bought Road House.

That is strange because I was about to spend over $100, but now will just go with roadhouse too! Doesnt make sense to turn that away over $6 for shipping costs

I appreciate that VS has all these odd offers, subscriptions, and various hoops to jump through to get presale and other deals, but no matter how much I try to understand and plan, it never seems to be that much in my favor. Now they just changed the current deal again to offer individual preorders, after all this advance planning. I ended up spending $50 just on Road House, so the idea that it’s a “deal” right now sounds kinda meaningless. I follow sales from all the boutique companies, but apparently I’m just never gonna wrap my head around when VS is truly a deal or not. I don’t buy slashers or peekarama material, but probably own a dozen VS titles and far more partner label releases. With each monthly PL drop, I’m always interested in 2-4 titles. I’ve definitely bought more VS this year since they’ve been adding Hong Kong films and major Hollywood company films to their collection.

VS deals are usually best during the half way to and the actual BF sales where stock that has been out for X amount of time (cant remember off top of my head) is down to 50% off. So I keep an eye on stock levels and if they look like they will last until those sales I will wait. I picked up Married to the Mob as the slip version will be OOP before Nov and All American Murder bc the slip version is down to about 30 to go along with Roadhouse. I had them in my cart for weeks waiting thinking I would get over the $75 threshold for free shipping only to pay shipping and sales tax, no real deal to be had her IMO only a chance to grab things that wont make it to Nov sale

I guess I haven’t been following them long enough and by the time I started saving up my want list for a future deal, they added sales tax and removed free shipping, killing the deal I thought I was getting. I really don’t blame boutiques for these cost issues in our current economy. I just find it nearly impossible to plan when to buy from VS and when it’s truly a deal. Oh well. I’ve picked up standard editions deal-priced from DeepDiscount, MoviesUnlimited, Target B2G1, etc. and I guess I’ll just stick to those routes until things inevitably change again. Just as an example, Ilya Muromets LE slipcover was $28 + $6 shipping at VS. I picked up the SE from Target B2G1 and only paid $15 with free shipping, 5% off, and sometimes you can stack other offers as well. The FOMO game is tiring for me. Just give me the movies.

If you buy during the flash pre-order, doesn't that cover shipping for anything else ordered during BF? You can "Add to existing sale order" from jump at that point.

Yes—assuming the same policy remains. I’ve done this for Rad, Beastmaster, and Cloak & Dagger. Works like a charm and you get priority shipping, right after the annual subscribers.

I do not see any of these four titles included with the 5 for £40. All show £9.99.
