It's not a big difference, so no big harm, but clearly something isn't working as it should.
I read on the website all qualifying orders will be refunded the difference.

Thanks for letting us know! I finally ordered the remaining five Kitano films from your list (I already picked up Hana-Bi back in 2020).

I picked up the rest I needed - Dolls, Scene at the Sea, and Getting Any?. These Kitano films are always a treat.

My first ever order at Terracotta. I chose the tracked shipping, I'm curious how this goes with customs (I live in the Netherlands).

It should be fine as they registered for IOSS; I saw this on the website:
For customers in Europe: following implementation of new customs rules from 1st January 2021 (due to 'Brexit') Customs Charges for your country may be applicable.

We have registered for IOSS which means that we have pre-paid the VAT and you should not be charged for any additional VAT when you receive your parcel.

We are currently shipping on a DAP basis (Duty at Place) - customs duty might be charged to you which you must pay for before you can receive your parcel.

We will monitor this new Brexit situation and may change our policies on shipping to the EU, and welcome any feedback from Europe based customers (via email to shop@terracottadistribution.com using our facebook messenger icon).

So, if the Kitano’s from TWF are going out of print at some point, does this mean they’ll eventually just be unavailable, or might someone else pick up the rights?

Although I'm already all Kitano-ed up, TWF-wise, I can absolutely recommend taking advantage of this offer for those that are still missing some.

Well, I had to pay more than 7€ ( plus additional 2€ customs fee) for my Hiruko copy which was not just 20% value of the product, but 20% of the whole order - including shipping...

would like to be able to pick up the rights again, but apparently the sales agent is to change and that hasn't been decided yet either, so no idea what will happen. Be surprised if another distributor picks it up quickly either, as most companies wait a while for stock to dwindle out.
So, I'm sure they'll be back in print one way or another at some point, but no idea when that could be

I'm so excited for the Nobuhiko Obayashi films. embarrassingly, until recently I thought that House was his only film! I had no idea how prolific he is.

I said it would be for at least a week, which the deal will be, but stock is running low on some titles (mainly Hanabi and Kikujiro), so when they're out of stock they won't be replenished. There are about 10 Hanabi and 20 Kikujiro left at the moment

Thanks, I was missing Getting Any?, so I grabbed that. Any Sonos or Tsukamotos going OOP soon? I've been slowly adding the older releases to my collection whenever possible, but there are several that I still need to get. I'm still sad about missing out on Himizu.

Magically I found a copy of Himizu in Fopp last September, initially I didn’t see it in the world cinema section then did a double take.

There are a couple of copies available from Cex. Price is a bit steep but still reasonable for an OOP edition.

Thanks! I rarely buy used (I've had bad experiences, although I did get a good used copy of Kamikaze Girls), and I'm still hoping to find it new, but this is something to consider. There's one new copy on eBay right now, but they want £49 for it. The seller offered it to me for £42, but that's still too much. If I manage to bring it down to £30, maybe we'll have a deal.
