Most all these media databases appear much better than my early method of media tracking. On the Sinclair computer I defined a 2D or 3D array that I used to enter title and a couple of more items. Data was stored on a portable audio cassette recorder and printed on a 2" thermal paper printer.

With Movie Collector I create two list, one by type (Movie, Special) sorted alphabetically and another with several filters like 1.85, westerns, not viewed, 3D, UHD, immersive audio, etc. I export out as tab delimited text, import into WordPerfect using macros. These are printed as PDF which are transferred to a tablet that I use in the home theater. Did similar with DOS based FileExpress.

Movie Collector has a mobile app, it is on the spouses tablet and she keeps up with the viewing dates.

Have you auditioned the Envy? If so, thoughts?

I haven't seen it, either, buy, hey, I do own it! I always like hearing good things about movies that I own, but haven't yet watched.

Just spending a lot of time researching and asking questions at the moment, but I am close to pulling the trigger.

Gamefly is having a big sale on used 4K discs. I picked up:

Child's Play 4K
Massive Talent 4K
Friday the 13th 4K
Everything Everywhere All At Once 4K

They were $8.99 each and I had a $5 coupon , so it was $34 shipped.

I have been tempted to get Chucky season 1, but I have held off doing so. Please let us know what you think of it.

I have a BD set that has all the movies except it doesn't have the newer one with Aubrey Plaza or the television series.

Yeah, I must have the same one. The remake I bought individually.

OMG, I just started watching Bardo: False Chronicles of a Handful of Truths by Alejandro G. Iñarritu on Netflix and it is insane! It's in 4K DV / Atmos and it's a cross between Fellini/Gilliam/Jodorowsky, along with Iñarittu's trademark philosophical flourishes. 30 minutes in and I can already tell it's going to get nominated, at the very least, for cinematography. Gorgeous looking film. It's absurdist, surreal, expressionistic all in one.

When I was young I had a commodore 64 with the tape drive. I had created two games

a RPG inspired by D&D: you created a party of 4 and the game would randomly create rooms in a cave. All you had on screen was player stats and part of the map)

a Risk knockoff based in space

both written in basic that came with the machine. How I got stated in programming.

The Sinclair showed me that I would rather pay for software than write it. My first program was to calculate the azimuth and elevation of a receiving satellite dish based upon the desired satellite and the receiving latitude and longitude. The math was only about 3 lines of code but to get it to print the results, accept only certain inputs, etc. I had quite a few lines of code and a lot of time invested.

Once programed it was much more convenient than my HP-45 (still on my desk) and I could print the results. For quite sometime now spreadsheets have been used for most of my calculations. Used for finance, projector throw, media and electronic parts database, audio filters, etc.

Sure, but even more abstract since it's autobiographical.
