Hey, Todd.

I forgot to ask yesterday if you got Ichi yet. Any other movies on order or in your wishlist?

I just got $200 in Amazon rewards so I may be going on a shopping spree. I need to figure out what I want.

Todd, my father-in-law has an actual UPS box that is 20X20X20, which is perfect for the sub. I might not get around to shipping it until next week some time due to family commitments and lack of any free time every night this week. (surpise! ).

Hey Todd,

Looking forward to seeing what happens over the next couple of weeks. You sound like you have a lot of upgrades coming up.

Where did you find the "futon"? I hope it works out for you.

Hey Todd, I was able to put the PA-120 in place yesterday on the home-built riser (perfect fit, with a bit extra all-around it), & connect it. I didn't really calibrate it yet tho', and the 20x20 table I planned to go over it as the end table wasn't quite wide or long enough to go over/around it. So I may look around for one, or just build one with some round table legs & a top piece at least 16" Wide & 24" long, maybe more. I took some photos & will hopefully upload those later tonite, as I'm waiting on my "Mini-Marquee" LIT Bluray holder, which shows arrived yesterday to the local post office here. (our courier should be picking it up this morning). Then I'll take some photos of that & put ALL of the pics on a CD to add to my Gallery.
Glad the Sub arrived and it was in Great Condition.
I am sorry the table wouldn't fit; but an inexpensive end table or something like that hopefully wont cost you too much money.

But I do look forward to seeing pics of the New Sub and the Riser you made(And dont forget to include a pic with the Infinity Speaker)

And,at least it is in place and connected. And you dont have too much longer to wait before you callibrate it and get to try it out with one of your 200 Blu-Rays.

And,like I told Fors,No hurry on the Shipping,Aero,Buddy.
Take your time and find what you need, in a Box and Packaging Material. If it takes an extra week or so,its No Big Deal,at All.

And Congratulations on the Now Showing Lighted Marquee.
I saw some of the pics of others he has done, and they are Incredible. So,I expect yours will be a true center piece for your Home Theater.

I am just thrilled that You,Fors, and PR, all got your deliveries yesterday.
And they were ALL in Great Condition.

Congrats on your new speakers progers! Were you listening to the SACD of Dark Side of the Moon? That is an incredible SACD....

Thanks Aero. I was very concerned about the height of that countertop, which was one of the things I had to consider when looking for the speakers. With the spikes in, the height of the speaker comes to 41". The countertop is 41.25". So you're right, it barely cleared with a quarter inch to spare. Not sure I'll leave the spikes in though. They seem to be more problematic than they're worth.

Thank you phansson! Actually it was just the regular CD. I was going to listen to Dark Side, but The Wall has always held a very special place in my heart. I think I was asleep before it got to track 6 (Mother). Guess I'll have to try again tonight.

I've been a big Pink Floyd fan for about 15 years (I was in my late teens when I discovered them). I don't care as much for their post-Waters sound, even though I love David Gilmore's voice. And as much as I love Dark Side, it doesn't quite strike the same chords with me as The Wall (probably due to the point I was at in my life).

Good Morning,Paul,my Friend.
I am Thrilled that you made such a Big Step in Getting New Front Speakers.
I was Extremely Excited for You,Buddy.I know you must have been all smiles when they were unboxed and you had a chance to see them in Person.

Sorry you are sore this Morning.Hopefully as the day moves ahead you will feel slightly better. But I am sure it was worth it,considering you got to listen to and enjoy the eD Towers.

And was it with just Music or did you find out about the center by playing a Blu-Ray to give the Towers a Test Run on how they sound with Movies.

But hearing that they sounded Open and Laid Back,is a Good Sound for Speakers with Music and Movies(IMO).

And Congrats on Post #4000,my Friend.

And any idea what the First Movie you plan on watching with the New,Awesome,eD Speakers will Be,my Friend?

Todd, again I congratulate YOU on the 4,000 milestone, buddy. Your thread is one of the most popular on the site. 4,000+ posts in less than 3 months in monumental!

I did not watch a blu last night, but I did watch a little TV. 24 sounded great! I heard little things in the soundtrack I never noticed before, like shoes scuffing on pavement, click of a door handle, things like that. These speakers don't fill the air with noise, and in that sense really helped my surrounds as well! These speakers are definitely very open and project much better than the technics. And they're about 5 decibels louder at the same volume level, so I had to do some recalibration. And they do blend very well with the A2-300's. I couldn't tell that the bass was coming from subs instead of the towers. And surprisingly, the small woofers on these speakers thump better than the two 8's and two 10's in the Technics.

I may get a chance to watch a blu tonight, but I don't know which one yet. I'm thinking maybe Cars. It's been a little while since I've seen that one (since before I got the 2nd sub).

Any word on your package? Is it out for delivery today?

Hello there Todd buddy. Hope your day is going well. A new or home-built end table will be easy enough to find or make (<--hopefully! ). And I will try to find a better sized box than the one my Recv'g guy found yesterday (only 15" high, so not enough clearance for I don't think, to add enough packing above/below the Sub to ship to you).

As for the Lit Mini-Marquee, it came in today & all I can say is wait til' you all see this Work of Art from our friend ___________! Beautiful smooth flat Black finish, the little blue lights for behind the Bluray when in place on it, the "NOW PLAYING" on the base of it with the same Blue lights behind the Lettering. Very Cool!! I'll take some photos today & HOPE they do it justice. Simply gorgeous & amazing craftsmanship here guys.

Yea, I read about the spike issue you talked of. You could prob. just use little Rubber matting below each speaker (1/4" pieces should do the trick) to give you some isolation if needed.

Good Morning Hammie,my Friend.
I hope you are enjoying a Great Tuesday.

I do hope you and your son are both doing better in regards to the stomach flu.
So,I still have you two in my Prayers that you will feel better and be back to 100% Healthy just as soon as Possible.

And,Yes Sir,I did get Ichi already.
It came in a few days back.As soon as you told me your opinion and about the price drop,I moved it out of the wish list and into my cart.

I havent watched it yet.But I do plan to as probably the Very Next Movie I do watch.
But right now I haven't felt as well as I had hoped so I haven't watched a Blu since last week(I believe).

And,all I know to say is Congratulations on the Amazon Reward Money.$200.00 thats a Huge Amount,Buddy.
How do you sign up for Amazon Rewards? Does it deal with their Visa Card or something?

And the Movies that are currently out, that I want the Most are

Crimson Tide,Kung Fu Panda,Star Wars:The Clone Wars~Season One,BattleStar Galactica Season One,Ice Age number 1(The Very First Ice Age Movie),Harry Potter Ultimate Collectors Editions(Blu-Ray)of Sorcerors Stone(Movie One) or/and Chamber of Secrets(Movie 2),National Treasure 2:Book of Secrets,Pitch Black,The Pirates of the Carribean Movies,300(Either the Standard or DigiBook Version)Vantage Point,Knowing,Bolt, and about 400 Other Movies.

Thats a Tidy Sum Lou.What are you looking at getting.
Some accessories for the HT System,or do you even have an Idea?

And there was another Movie Similar to Ichi.It is named in the Forum's Review of Ichi and I forget the name. But the Reviewer said it was actually better then Ichi. So,that may be a movie to look into.

And I dont know if you have seen it or own it.But its a CGI Movie based on the Resident Evil VideoGames(But worlds better then the Resident Evil Movies with real actors)Its Resident Evil: Degeneration.

It was one of the first Blus I bought last year and have watched it Several Times. Its A Great Movie. And another Good Animated Movie thats Good but not for little Kids is DeadSpace: DownFall.I bought that early as well. Its only drawback is that its only about 80minutes long.

I am Glad for You,Hammie.I hope you have a Great Day ahead,my Friend.
