Putting aside how he's supposed to look and speaking purely on the design for the character in this movie, he still looks like a piece of shit that was burnt crispy in a microwave.

And at 1:36 while he's on the table, he looks like he's a eunich the same way Thing is... Trank must have some kind of hang up on eunichs. No wonder Domashev is so pissed off.

Also, until I see him talk and his lips actually move, they look multilayered or something, like air vents. Similar to Human Torch's costume.

I just watched the Fantastic Four Sneak Peek that was included on the X-Men: Days of Future Past - Rogue Cut blu-ray, and get this: the actor that plays The Thing, Jaimie Bell, says, "These kinds of characters, and y'know, powers, I just never seen anything like this before."

Back in March I posted a supposed plot leak that was online. After today's trailer, it looks like that plot is real. Here it is again. But be warned of spoilers, because it gives the entire movie away. Not that there are any twists (it sounds like a pretty standard story), but so as to not ruin it for anyone:

Reed Richards and Ben Grimm are childhood friends and Reed's experiments with teleportation by transporting objects through the N-Zone attracts the attention of the Baxter Building. He's recruited by Dr. Franklin Storm and befriends his children, biologist Sue Storm and pilot Johnny Storm. Reed is then partnered with Victor Domashed, an anti-social programmer from war-torn Latveria to build a Quantum Gate to access the N-Zone.

Once the gate is completed, Reed, Sue, Johnny, Victor and three other astronauts perform a succesful teleportation test, during which brief disruptions are created. Reed theorizes the N-Zone affects both time and space, and the disruptions are a result of a portal being open to it. The cycle needs to be completed so close the portal.

Reed invites Ben to the first real test of the N-Zone, but Victor changes the coordinates without Reed knowing, wanting to push the experiment further, and leaves the team stranded in the N-Zone, where they are exposed to unknown energies. They manage to make it back to the portal, and Ben jumps into the threshold to pull Reed out and is exposed to the energies as well.

Reed becomes able to stretch his body, Sue can become invisible and project force fields, Johnny can burst into flames, Ben becomes a rock monster and Victor is left disfigured and obsessed with the answers the N-Zone may yield. The other astronauts lose control of their powers and die.

Government operative Harvey Elder volunteers to fund Reed's attempt to find a cure, and Reed develops containment suits to help the Four deal with their powers. Eventually, they find out the government wants to weaponize their powers and exploit the Quantum Gate to create supersoldiers, which they disagree with.

Victor has developed technopathy and engineers a breakout from the Baxter Building's medical ward and makes his way to the defunct Quantum Gate. The others try to stop him, but he jumps into it and disappears. Elder has the Quantum Gate destroyed, tearing a hole in the space-time continuum that threatens to unravel the entire planet. As the disruptions grow worse, Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben escape with Franklin's help, steal an airplane and make their way to the Amazons, where the hole is located, to jump into the N-Zone and seal it off from the inside at the expense of their own lives with a machine Reed has created.

Arriving there, they are confronted by Victor, who has experienced years inside the N-Zone harnessing its power. Now calling himself Doctor Doom and viewing himself as above the human race, he tries to convince the Four to join him in his efforts to take over the planet, but they refuse and fight Doom to a standstill.

Reed finds out Victor has built a makeshift Quantum Gate to explore other realities. After Victor disappears in one of the disruptions and the Four seal the portal, they manage to time jump to five seconds after they went through the portal and destroy the Quantum Gate, ending the disruptions and saving the planet.

They are captured by Elder, but bargain to assist the government in developing new medical technologies, and implying they'll fight back against the government's attempts to make them weapons. In exchange, Elder declares the Baxter Building self-reliant and is appointed as the team's liaison with the military. Reed designs new suits for the team and even sketches a "FantastiCar". He develops a relationship with Sue, while Johnny and Ben also become good friends.

In an after-credits scene, Victor emerges in Latveria and plans to take over.

Stan Lee cameos as a man whose car is pulled into the N-Zone and left behind after Reed seals the portal.
Doom references Galactus, Annihilus and the X-Men while talking about the things he's seen in other worlds and universes.

At 1:41 in the trailer, you see the big hole being formed and cars getting sucked into the sky. At 1:47, you see the giant hole. This trailer tells us that all that stuff with Elder and the government is true. At 2:21, you see what looks like "Doom" knocking Reed against a wall in the Baxter Building, probably when Doom

I want to take a closer look at those containment pods they travel to the N-Zone in. If they have vents of some kind I wonder if he kind of merged with the metal of the pod. Trank did say he was inspired by Cronenberg's The Fly remake and in that Brundle Fly gets mixed with his teleporters and his lower half has that pattern to it.

I'm sure that's not what happens to Domashev but it's fun to speculate as to why his layers of lips look like that. If they were protruding more it would look like a female robot had a roast beef sandwich if you get what I'm saying.

I don't know if he merges with any metal, but at 0:51, you can see some glowing green stuff in the rocks below the four people in the frame, and at 0:54 they're walking on it. At 0:56, one of them falls into the green stuff, and that definitely has to be Domashev.

It explains his glowing green, burnt rock look.

Maybe. From the screenshot, he looks like he's mostly composed of the rocky material that has the green "lava." Like he's been enveloped within the part of the terrain he fell into. At 2:01 in the trailer, it looks like they're in the Negative Zone and Ben punches this big ball of rocks flying towards him... rock slide? Or did Domashev toss those rocks at him, maybe as part of his powers? It looks like the rocks were bundled telepathically and then tossed at Ben like a baseball.

The turret on that tank has a section where the gunner and commander sit that is attached to the part he threw. It doesn't just pop off like a model kit. The crew members would have been pulled out of the tank and been throw/fallen out.

I can't remember if they got that right in the 2003 Hulk movie.

They fall out through the hatch in Hulk, the turret part is sealed off from the cabin, but that bit comes off when he's smashing it.

Yeah, they did a decent job of conveying weight and mass in that hulk scene and it was a highlight of that movie.
