I just pre-ordered 2 upcoming werewolf flicks from Amazon--

the criminally overlooked BAD MOON and the "I've never seen this but always wanted to" THE BOY WHO CRIED WEREWOLF

The IFC titles are showing up in stores everywhere - Walmart, Best Buy, Target, etc. I wish the older titles got this type of exposure.

I hope they keep selling so they can fund releases that I want.

Me too, I just picked up The Hallow at Best Buy and was happy to see multiple copies and all of them had slips.

Are you seeing the IFC films in Blu Ray though? Of the 4 Wal-Marts and 3 Targets in town none carry the IFC films in Blu Ray, only on DVD. Best Buy is the only place that will carry the Blu Ray versions of said films which is super disappointing as I would likely buy far more if Wal-Mart would carry the Blu's.

Idk why all scream titles aren't sold at stores. At least when they get recently released they should be in stores. They would make so much more money and it would be easier to get.

I was at Walmart yesterday to pick up ID4, and I glanced over the 2 new IFC releases (Sharkansas Prison Massacre and Submerged) and I saw at least one of those titles on Blu. I have little to no interest in the IFC releases, so I wasn't paying close attention though. Every Walmart seems to be different in what they stock. I sometimes have to drive to multiple stores to find what I'm looking for.

Sadly, most stores don't want to carry "old" movies anymore except for the most popular mainstream titles.

CMAC
tell me this is down the pipeline, please!

I'd much prefer to see titles which haven't been released on Blu-ray get a release before we continue down the re-release line.

MGM's Blu-ray of Species was released 10 years ago and it looks like crap. It could use an upgrade. It's likely with Scream

Agreed. That would be one of the few titles I would double dip.

Maybe so but I don't see Scream spending that kind of money. At least history has shown that isn't the case.

They seem to be doing new 2K transfers on most of the MGM rereleases, and Species is certainly in need of one.

Limit the number of copies for each store and make it exclusive to one store like Best Buy. I bet they would have no problems selling.

I remember when a bunch of MGM blus all went on sale for $5 one after another a year or two ago. Texas Chain Saw Massacre 2, Return of the Living Dead, Jeepers Creepers, and... Species. Perhaps that is when the deal was signed and stock needed to be unloaded?
