My copy shipped for delivery on Monday. Just out of curiosity, how many people here have never seen the film in any version? This will be my first viewing. I'm expecting an arthouse horror flick for some reason.

I never have seen either version but was always curious. I used to own the CD score of Danny Elfman's for the film so I've heard that disc many times. (I used to collect a lot of film scores)

Ordered a box set that was canceled after 30 days because they could not fulfill the order. They are owned by the same company as Deep Discount/ImportCDs/and others, so that 30 days is standard. You can order over 30 days in advance, of course, but if they cannot fulfill it when 30 days of the release date, they will cancel it.

My Nightbreed from BOIH will hopefully arrive before the end of the week. I ordered it back in July.

I wouldn't expect that. The theatrical version is a somewhat goofy monster movie with earnest intentions; there's a lot going on, but the parts (acting, writing, tone, etc) are frequently at odds with each other. The director's cut reportedly patches up the cut & paste plot of the theatrical and focuses on the love story between the central characters, but I'd still expect some cheese. Either way, it's a super fun flick.

Did anyone else order theirs from Best Buy? I pre-ordered my LE back in July, only to notice two weeks ago that my order had disappeared and they had put up new listings for both edition. I went ahead and re-ordered and paid for expedites shipping, but I just checked a few minutes ago and it still says "In Process". I called them up, and was told the same thing by the machine, except they added that it was still expected for delivery by tomorrow.

Just wondering if anyone else who ordered from them has received theirs yet, or at the very least a shipping notice?
