This release is unfortunately known to suffer from manufacturing defects in some cases, which can lead to "disc rot". I purchased a sealed copy off of eBay a few years back, but was forced to return it, as it would not play back at all. Sorry to hear about the defective disc.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I have a copy of My Bloody Valentine (1981) and watched it within the past year and it worked flawlessly. I will rewatch it soon and hopefully it is still in the same working condition.

So disappointed when I saw it at a drive-in, so happy about the reconstruction. Of course just because I like a movie doesn't mean I won't go for the big money. All it had to do was go all the way without freezing but, like Patty, it didn't make it to the end.

Hasn't this been OOP for awhile? I've seen them a couple places since it was "OOP", but it had always been harder to find this one over many other BU releases. Or did it go back in print for a bit, and then go OOP again?

I bought it years ago off a reviewer from another site . Anyways, not available at Amazon, Best Buy, Deep Discount and it is not even listed at BU’s own site. We can always get surprised but sure looks OOP as of now .

Ah jeez.....well, I haven't watched it in at least a year & a half, but when I did, it played fine. Shame about the "disc-rot" issue, that should have been solved before the birth of the format.

Are the Seijun Suzuki Early Years sets from Arrow OOP? I have the first one but went to buy vol. 2 and its disappeared from many places, as has the first. Ended up panic-buying one off eBay last night for a still-decent price.

I sold my copy on eBay a few weeks ago (I start all my auctions at 99p) and it sold for about £30, which I was pretty pleased with. Didn't realise it was worth a hell of a lot more!

Just because it's listed at that much doesn't mean it sells at that price. Since yours was an auction, I suppose that's closer to the actual value people are willing to pay.

Looks like The Monster Squad is completely OOP now. Amazon had some in stock last week for 10 dollars and now it's only available from a few vendors with starting prices over 30 dollars.
