After watching Four Feathers, I too looked into that Sabu set.

I've never seen it, but Korda's "Jungle Book" probably would have been a marketable standalone release on blu-ray. I think you are correct that much of the content in the Eclipse series will probably never make it to blu-ray. There's definitely more exceptions than just the Ozu set though, at least I hope there will be given a few years time...

There was Zatoichi v/s Yojimbo, but IMO that was a very half-baked movie that did no justice at least to Mifune's character. I haven't seen any of the other Zatoichi films so can't comment on that.

You mayb be right, a few more then Ozu could receive an upgrade. Ozu is just one that came to my mind quickly mostly because some of the movies are out on Blu-ray from MoC

"Polite company"? I'd buy your disdain if a student is writing some critical analysis for class, citing a random blog-post might not be a great idea. But just because the source is a blog, that doesn't mean that the opinion contained within can't be an interesting or informative read.

Sure, it'd be great if it had the peer-reviewed backing of some academic journal. But in "polite company" all that really matters is the context, not the fact that it was a blog post.

Now, admittedly, maybe the blog post linked is a pile of crap. It's long, I didn't read it, and I don't care to because the Wes Anderson argument isn't something that interests me. But to throw out blogs in general seems, to me, to be throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

Besides, there is an illogical flow to your example. 3 year old artwork in crayon is extremely valid in "shedding light" on certain questions, particularly those relating to child development. A person must know what the question is before it can be determined whether or not the offered proof can shed light.

Yes, I believe so...unless your speaking of the Studio Canal version that was in a regular case
