Why is Netflix surch huge hit while Digital HD can't make up for the decline in disc sales? |

And what comment is that? I'm not understanding. The one you're quoting is first quarter this year. Physical sales went down 14.6% first quarter from previous year. That's a negative percentage. A single digit positive percentage is an increase.

All of which will be good sellers on. Blu Ray also.. Bluray is starting to hit it's stride now after a slow start to the year.

I think the only thing UV did was make VUDU more popular. If that was their intent, good job. However, that's not how they sold the format to consumers.
At this point, plenty of people are locked in to VUDU. Just because a few other second-rate storefronts support the format, I guarantee most people would not switch to another provider if VUDU stopped supporting UV. VUDU now has enough clout that they can drop UV and demand codes that only work with them. I honestly feel like the only reason they haven't gone full "VUDU digital copy only" is because UV has essentially already done that work for them. There's a strange irony to the whole UV vs. iTunes thing. UV was created to wrestle control of the digital movie market away from Apple, when all they ultimately did was create another iTunes. If VUDU pulls out of UV, the format is done. How strong is a system when it only has one relevant implementation? |

Apple has no incentive to give a choice outside of providing the iTunes software on Windows. They sell plenty of hardware to justify keeping their system as closed off as it is. |

I've never tried iTunes for movies even though I have an iPhone, iPad, and Macbook but it's too late since I already have over 1500 movies on VUDU. |

When it comes to digital distribution, only Disney has got it right so far. Every EST provider that really matters supports DMA. Not sure why UV can't do the same. |

I have close to 700 movies in Vudu and a little over 200 in iTunes. I'm too far committed to Vudu to leave it an switch to iTunes and rebuying movies, not all of them but at least a couple hundred that I care for most, in iTunes that I have in my Vudu account. I spend too much money in Vudu such as D2D of my blu-rays, buying UV codes, and buying movies directly through Vudu. I considered buying an Apple TV and leaving Vudu completely for iTunes but it does not seem like a sensible decision for me and I rather have all my digital movies in one digital library. I did use iTunes about a year ago and had an Apple TV 32GB, and streaming through iTunes seemed more stable on my unstable internet connection than streaming through Vudu but I still experienced a disconnection from iTunes while streaming when my internet connection was out for about 5 minutes even though the progress bar showed I had around 1 hour of the movie cached ahead. I just can't get myself to buy an Apple TV again and switch to iTunes. In fact I was at Best Buy today an almost bought an Apple TV 32 GB but instead bought 2 blu-rays, Moonlight and Knocked Up. I have not completely abandoned blu-rays. I just can't value digital movies as much as a blu-ray.

2. No one said they were. Most people probably had no clue it existed until they ran that 50% super bowl deal this year. 3. The fact is they are still another option for me to watch and/or purchase new and existing UV titles. You don't get a choice with itunes. I can even watch my movies on old ass flixster if I want. |

I'm using a Gb ethernet connection all the way to the modem. My XBox One is connected to a Netgear Gb switch in my bedroom. The modem/router is Gb speed supported and is in the family room. I use U-verse as my internet provider. I'm not sure if I actually have Cat 6 cabling between the walls but file transfers showed 111 MB/s from the NAS that was in the family room to my PC in my bedroom when I connected a NAS directly to the modem/router. The cabling between the walls for the network installation was done about 16 years ago, so that's why I'm not sure if it's Cat 6 cabling. Speedtest.net shows around 50.2 Mbps
