Looks like it is back up for me now. UI stuff is loading and I can now do strikes, raids, etc. in Destiny.

I've been having issues where from a cold boot it takes my PS4 about 30 seconds after loading to unlock entire Destiny game. It's digital so I'm assuming the activation servers were/are affected during this time. The game icon just has a lock over it and can't launch for a bit.

It makes me fill better that I am not the only one having this issue. I though my PS4 was dying.

Yesterday was a good day for me. Ran the weekly strike on 28 with both characters to get 18 coins...basically a free Ice Breaker. I also hit vanguard rank 4 and received the Comedian, ascendant shard, and the shader that has alot of numbers. Also hit rank 2 with Iron Banner and bought the titan mark.

Got my 3rd character to twenty!! Time to grind Vanguard rank 2 for some gear

I rankles my ass that I have the money for nice Vanguard gear but I gotta keep grinding away to reach rank 3. All of which means doing and redoing the same bounties and patrol missions again and again...

My Vanguard is 5 just from doing so many patrols and bounties. I got nothing else ranked out side of the Queen to level 1. Totally striking out on Shards/Energy past two days. I do public events and I see everyone in the group get the notification they got something except for me. Failed on all three of my characters. Noticed my alt. characters are getting absolutely nothing. I think one has two shards and the other has a mote. They are almost not worth playing and very tedious to rank up to 20. I went from level 7 to 19 over course of two days because of the loot cave. Ah, I miss that thing. My Hunter has full Legendary gear awaiting him once he hits rank 20 though. Warlock has a bunch of stuff too.

Nice! My hunter is stuck at 20 till I decide to go farm strikes for him lol

You get shards/energy from your first public event of the day from the postman in the tower. Any other shards/energy awarded during the event are just bonuses.

Yeah and I need like a zillion of both. Wish there were faster ways to get some of the materials so I didn't have to spend an eternity stuck on one level (27, in my case).

I made 29, and hell knows how long I'll be stuck here until I get two more raid pieces and a piece of exotic armor.

But not even getting Energy/Shards for one of my guys. Just Motes. Got me an Exotic Helm for my Warlock. Only need Legendary Chest armor and will be ready to go with that character when I hit 20 too. Bought Ice Breaker too!

Max is 25,000. I usually go buy Ammo packs when I get around 23K.

Energy is used for upgrading damage on legendary/exotic weapons.

I think it is pretty cool to see balance like that. No big advantage towards one specific character. I think Bungie would be happy with that.
