I was hoping for Jared Padalecki (remake) and Jason Ritter and Chris Marquette (Freddy Vs. Jason) myself...

Who did they snag for interviews on the syndicated TV show? Obviously LeMay, but c'mon, throw us some Robey & Chris Wiggins.

I didn't know cast/crew from the TV show were going to be in attendance. I must have totally missed that. I thought it was for the films only.
Man, what an event. This preorder keeps getting better and better.
That would be great if Louise Robey was one of the autographs. I had the biggest crush on her back in high school, when the series was on air.

I don't know if anyone from the show will be at the signing, I was talking about the documentary itself. They've stated that the show will be featured (and the bonus disc says it will contain more material on the show), but I'm dying to know who they got for interviews. I loved that show as a kid. Still do, in all its glorious cheese.

Not sure how I missed that the TV show would be included on this release. Sure glad it is. I, like you, enjoyed the heck out of it.

You saw Never Sleep Again? I forget if it was in the doc itself or the deleted scenes but either Shannon or Swift points out that they didn't write the line and they regret that it's in the movie.

I always disappoint that carl Fullerton never gets interview. He was the make up guy to make the first adult jason and also had his famous double impaling cut from the film.

That 'secret' interview will be JASON himself! It'll be 20 minutes of silence, followed by Jason beheading the interviewer (Corey Feldman)!!

You never know. Maybe they didn't try hard enough.

Obviously he's the biggest star to have done a Friday the 13th movie, but he doesn't seem particularly embarrassed to talk about it.

Yes, that's what I was referencing. I'm sure they regret that she is in the movie, period. But that's studio marketing for you.

All we know at this point is that Kevin Bacon is not listed. The makers have been asked about him several times and have never answered whether he declined or not, which to my mind means he could be a surprise interview, since the filmmakers have made is a point to list everyone else who is not involved in the documentary.

While I would agree adding rappers and r&b singers is bad, I don't consider it any worse then adding in any other well known actor or actress. Saw 2 and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake) were ruined for be because of the inclusion of the 7th Heaven girls.

As for the "******" line... it was commonly used in even PG rated movies in the 80's and early 90's (Monster squad) and you're watching a movie about a child molesting psychopath that kills and cuts people up (among other things). Quit being so selectively sensitive, it's a movie, not reality, and in all honesty, I find it more offensive that the use of the word ****** is more taboo to people then any other number of gorey scenes that occur in that film. Regardless of how hard people try to remove the word from common vernacular, it will always be a potent insult to straight males with a certain level of ego. The line, while not in good taste, is certainly appropriately used here, and let's be honest, there aren't many horror movies made in good taste anyways. If horror exists to incite an adrenal reaction, then I'd say the line fit perfectly as it obviously hit a nerve with you...

I have to agree. People bag Redman's performance in Seed of Chucky just because they didn't like Kelly Roland or Busta Rymes in FvJ or H: R but was Redman really all that bad? Like the movie or not, but Redman was suppose to play Redman making an epic Virgin Mary movie - you may not like the movie but was his performance really THAT bad?

Here is where I disgree. The best horror films, such as Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Phantasm, The Shining, Night of the Living Dead, The Exorcist, Jaws, etc, have very real human issues beneath them and have insightful analogies about society.

On your first point, the fact that the word "******" was used in the '80s and '90s, does not make it any less offensive now. Should actors continue to play Asians like Mickey Rooney because Breakfast at Tiffany's was made in 1960 and it's now 2013?

I don't find it selectively sensitive when the writers were obviously offended themselves. Gore scenes and human rights issues are two totally different things, and I think it's easy to be offended by how it was used in FvJ. Kelly Rowland is a character you should root for, so when she makes you cringe - it has the opposite effect. In Sleepaway Camp 3, an ignorant camper calls a black camper a n----- but the way it is written in the script is that the camper is being morally wrong, other campers are offended by it and she later gets killed for her bad behavior. FvJ isn't set up the same way as the writers did not write the line and it comes off in poor taste as it doesn't even offend Freddy to begin with and it's not the '80s or '90s anymore and thank God for that since as great as those times were, they were also pretty homophobic.

Lastly, you should be thinking more of how insulting the word "******" is to gay people than straight males. I mean, really?

...What movie were you watching? In the one I was watching, she was shown as being shallow, fake when attempting to address the emotional needs of her friend, etc. She seemed like an awful person who only came to realize she shouldn't be a completely shallow idiot when what could have been a potential love interest otherwise connected with her emotionally just prior to his death. In a series known for featuring pretty shallow, stupid characters...to the point that many feel as though the characters are often there to just be ridiculous and then slaughtered (some argue, due to their relative stupidity/horribleness/moral impropriety/etc.)...that she acts terribly, says a very offensive thing and then is immediately "disposed of"...indicates to me that the film is telling me that her behavior is wrong and misguided. Not that, "She's such a great person! She uses offensive insults! You should, too!"

I have no idea how anybody would ever have that interpretation - that I was meant to root for her. She wasn't meant to be the "glowing, understandable" protagonist. She was meant to be a shallow, "body-count raising" best friend that would be annoying and ultimately die because she was so awful and lacking in perspective. That's what she was.

Or, it comes off as realistic for a shallow person to make their immediate go-to insult for a flamboyant male who's trying to act tough.
