Spielberg wise we’ve now either got or have coming:

Close Encounters
E.T.
Jurassic Park
Saving Private Ryan

So really there’s only Jaws, Raiders Trilogy and Schindler’s List left of what I’d call the holy grail films of his. Wonder if we’ll get any of those this year?

This is very tempting... but like others have already said, why buy a set not when there will be more movies? I would be eager to see them all in UHD, so that may sway my purchase.

It seems like they should have done 1-3 as a set, and then 4,5,.... in another set. Oh well.

What's weird is that it also has separate Amazon pages. One has the cover, while the other doesn't have an image.

Throw me in as somebody who loved Jurassic World and needs Munich (one of my Top 50 films).

I love this scene and was terrified by it as a 12 year old. I never found it funny. It's a very interesting scene that shows the nightmares of lucid dreaming, where external elements impact the contents of a dream. Grant lived and breathed dinosaurs; especially raptors. He was also traumatised by his experiences with them in Nublar. Those memories coupled with his research work took the form of that bizarre yet terrifying dream.

As for the quills on the forehead and the parrot-like pupils, I love that they went with the avian design rather than the grossly incorrect reptilian design from the previous films. Also, JP3 is the first movie to treat Raptors as a complex animal, not blood-thirsty monsters. It showed their social behaviour, their language and their deep parental instincts. The raptors desperately looking for their eggs mirrored the main plot of the Kirbys searching for their son.

Fossil records are showing that some raptors had feathers. The forerunners to some modern bird species.

However, that scene was indeed laughably horrible. Plus, the cell phone in the dinosaur. You can't hear a lumbering giant except for the cell phone it ate???
Jurassic Park 3 actually had no finished shooting script. They just winged it through most of the production and it shows.

Yes, feathers!

Not the quill head things it has. I figured they thought it would look ridiculous if a bunch of 6 foot turkeys were running around.

Also, lmao @ the phone being loud enough to hear from across a field, within the stomach of a Spinosaurus.

We go live to Dr Ian Malcolm for his rebuttal.

I absolutely believe this. The film feels like fan fiction.

There are two Amazon links up. Same info different ASIN

Only one of the links are now active on Amazon. Maybe the other was a duplicate.

I think the moderators should remove the "no active Amazon link" entry if possible.

I don't think there's anything more annoying than people saying a movie feels like fan fiction.

Got my pre order in with Amazon.ca!

$67 doesn't seem too bad for 4 movies/8 discs!
