I think he meant he would have liked to have seen those sequels in the late 80s/early 90s before the PT.

Perosnally for me I'd love a Gremlins 3. I know rumours pop up every now and again but we'll never get a real sequel with the original cast and crew. A reboot is probably the best we could hope for.

I'd also love a Mystery Men 2. That one came out just before the comic-book movie explosion, it'd be awesome to see how a sequel would approach the genre now it has all new cliches.

I want one too. The only bad thing about the 2nd movie is I think Chris Carter was expecting FOX to greenlight X-Files 3. So he gave us a monster of the week type movie to bring us back into these characters lives, before he went all out with the big finish to the Alien mythology in X-Files 3.

Agreed. Just one more, to finish it off in style. If the last glimpse we ever get of Mulder and Scully is that awful, cheesy shot of them waving up at us from a boat as they coast along the sea then that's a shitty way for the franchise to finish.

I was always hoping for a Return to Silverado someday. One of my favorite westerns. At the end when

[Show spoiler]Costner yells, "We'll be back!",

I always asumed a second installment was on the way. Oh well...

Always heard rumors of a sequel in the works. Would have loved to have seen the character again, either playing hooky from work as an adult, or maybe his kid pulling a fast one on him. But when John Hughes died, that dream died with him.

I won't give anything away but on the Lost Space commentary on the blu-ray they do talk about the ideas they had for a sequel though it was never made. The real details begin at the start of the end credits if you are interested.
