I wonder if they would release just that one movie or would do it in a set with the other two movies? Something like what they did for the upcoming David lean set?

Ocean of Pearls maybe?

It doesn't seem to be very highly regarded though.

Really wish there was a clue for EVITA, the DVD isn't worth watching. The Criterion LD set is filled with decent extras. I don't see Disney wanting to release the title.

Too many great silents already out that I still need to pick up Blu! A great problem to have.
I have too many to watch. I haven't even opened the Keaton shorts and I just grabbed the Kino Sherlock as an afterthought during the most recent B&N sale.

How cool is that?

I collect AFI 100 titles so Sunrise has been in my Amazon.uk watch list for a while but this is the first I've heard of City Girl. I think I'll be keeping an eye on that now too...thanks for the heads up.

+1

Harold & Maude was my first DVD. I bought it shortly before my first player. A Criterion blu would mean a lot to me for many reasons.

I would love to see a Criterion BD set of this. Coincidentally, these three films started streaming on Netflix today, if anyone is interested.

When I saw they were on there, I cheered for a little bit, then put them into my queue. From my understanding, all three of these films were well received by critics. I also love Salo, so I am definitely interested in seeing some of Pasolini's earlier work.

The three shells being Demolition Man would be seriously awesome!
Although, I don't see that happening in a million years and I am sure it's only brought up as a joke...but still, it wasn't bad for what it was, and it never tried (nor pretended) to be Citizen Kane.

Harold and Maude would be an excellent addition to the collection. It's extremely well reviewed and I like "black comedy" in general, I hope that is a correct prediction.

It sure does look like that one, though somehow "inverted" in its shape...
Which would actually be a pity for me, since I've just ordered those three films from amazon.co.uk, hoping to be able to get a region free player to watch those and other movies...

That's exactly what I was thinking.

Further analizing the drawing and probably in a fair bit of wishful thinking, what if the "grave" hinted in the picture actually refers to Taste of Cherry ? There were only two films I hoped to be upgraded this year and those were Taste of Cherry and The Cranes are Flying .
