A valid argument. I don't need all the versions, but even with the WBShop set coming I might still be tempted to pick up the standard release just because I suspect my slipcover will arrive in less than perfect condition (both smashed to bits and torn to shreds) from WB. It's like they hate their own products with the way I have seen some of them packaged from there. Hopefully this set comes in a sealed cardboard box inside of a bigger box like some of the CE sets have come from them.

Pixar really should have released 5 different collector's sets/cash grabs of Finding Nemo if they wanted the attention Dark Knight Rises is getting. The only thing worth discussing for Nemo is why the hell it took so long for it to come to blu-ray when it was one of the earlier teaser previews I had ever seen. And we have already had several years to discuss that topic, including in every other thread for every Pixar film that was released before now. I picked it up on 3D and got my plushes from BB, they are pretty good quality. Now back to the Dark Knight Rises.

Yes late in the afternoon around 4. Have prime with release date delivery but Amazon goofed this time so I will be receiving my copy tomorrow instead together with Nemo.

In case it has not been mentioned yet, the Best Buy extra content is a download. $5 extra for a friggin' download.

I did get them to match Walmart's price on it though.
Dude it is on the disc.

The weird thing about Walmart that they seem to have their regular price for new releases on the first day, and then after one day they drop it to match the other competitor's prices, particularly high profile new releases. Anyone else notice this? I wonder if Walmart does this on purpose just to wait to see what other retailers prices will be? My questions is why don't they just start selling it at the lowest price from day one, especially seeing as how they have the "lowest price advertised".[/B] This way I wouldn't even have to deal with the price matching issue...I don't know the whole thing is just strange to me.

As for the movie, I saw it last night and all I can say is : I REALLY REALLY WISH they had filmed the entire movie in IMAX. The 2:35:1 scenes are very well done but in my opinion the IMAX sequences are night and day in comparison. Breathtaking quality and detail all around!
I work at Wal-Mart and with movie releases its all dependent on the store and any local competition. For example, my store doesn't drop the prices on any movies because we have no local competition. There is no Best Buy, Target, or any other major retailer in our town so they charge full price. If there is local competition they then tend to drop the price to a lower price then the lowest competition. Sometimes they will wait till the day of release and then send people out to the competitor stores to check what their price is, then they'll drop the price on it. Its actually like this with a lot of products at Wal-Mart.

Though I have not received my copy yet, I believe it has been confirmed that the Reborn documentary is included on the special features disk of the Steelbook/Best Buy Trilogy set. The second disk is not the same as the regular editions from elsewhere.

They had me give my email address so they could send me a link to the extra content.

Here is the email:

My receipt for the Best Buy Steelbook says "Decline Dark Knight Reborn." I was never asked anything therefore didn't decline anything. With Reborn being on the disc, am I missing out on anything here that I should call the store about?

So it's not an additional separate disc? Are you sure?

Hmm. Mine is not showing it's out for delivery either. Did they screw up on all of them? Shows as info submitted to Ontrac.

Tempted to head to Target and get the Digi anyways.

This is correct. The Reborn documentary is housed on the special features disc on the Best Buy steelbook edition and on one of the Trilogy sets.

The documentary should be on the disc, but there is also an option to get it on CinemaNow too. It shows on the register as $14.99 so they probably declined it for you, but if they did add it the $14.99 should change to $0.00 when they total it out as it applies a package discount.

OK, then they misled me at the store. What the hell is the email for then? Just an additional online version?

Still, not a bad deal from $34.99 down to $21.69 (w/ tax) after matching Walmart and applying my Brave preorder to it. Plus I have my first 2 releases paired up on ebay already with a starting bid of $7.99.

I was told at the Best Buy I purchased the steelbook from that you had to pay an additional $14.99 for the Reborn Documentary and if you didn't pay, you would not have access to it. The rep I purchased it from told me and I almost put it back. She said that it should have been clear on their ad and on the cover of the packaging. I agree!!
