Haha. Digital movies have been around for over ten years now. Hasn't happened. That seems to be a common defense in here. "Just wait till they add ads" Yep ok. Blu-rays already have them.

It's more like 5 minutes, when I played Discs I would put in the Disc while I watched something else on the TV until I could go back to the Blu-ray and watch the Movie. That's why I preferred to watch my Back-ups, I took all that Junk off. Now with Digital HD you go right into the Movie, no more Junk! If you are setup properly PQ and Audio are Outstanding!

I buy my physical blu-Ray/4k blu-ray. I get a digital code. I have both, and have no need to worry.

Both sound like cases of drm. It sounds like vudus drm is more annoying and easier to run into but I would guess both are in place in case you are trying to copy a film while you are out of contact with the server or to make it more difficult to tamper with the units data when out of contact with the server.

It took you five minutes. Worst comes to worst i just hit the skip forward button a few times. Its never taken me five minutes. Ever. I'm sure a time will come when it does, but it hasn't yet.

You do realize that a trailer is an advertisement? Many times for movies I don't care about.

Yes. But the post made it sound like it was a new thing. A while back they had brand ads that were not skippable but they soon disappeared. Now I just see movie trailers that are skippable. I don't get twitchy if I have to wait a couple of minutes so it's not a problem even if they weren't.

I never said it's a new thing. Actually it's been an annoying thing for blu-rays for a long time. I could see them doing it for rental copies but they also do it for the versions you buy. So why use the defense that digital will get ads if you have no problem waiting a few minutes? You do it for blu-rays. Sounds like it's no big deal for you to wait a few minutes to start the movie.
