As much as I hate this ridiculous expansion, I would love for Va Tech, FSU, and/or Clemson to join the SEC. Those are solid teams.

Texas and Oklahoma are too solid!

I didn't think those unis were anywhere near as bad as people make them out to be (neither were Georgia's).

Is Maryland's for the year? Georgia's was just for the Boise State game.

Just the game. I think Plank wants to be the new Oregon.

Just out of curiosity, why don't you like this expansion. I personally love it, there are too many conferences in our current format. I really like the idea of consolidating everything and bringing in a playoff system.

Maryland's uniform was just one of their 32 different combinations that they will have this year. Their main helmet is the turtle shell.

If we got a decent playoff system out of it, I'd be for it. I just worry we'll have like 3-4 big ones and still the joke that is the BCS, which would cause real problems with SOS.

Tradition and history, I guess. If there was a guarantee that the massive conferences would necessarily lead to a playoff, I'd support it (yes, I realize a playoff is not traditional, but if you keep various bowl tie-ins, it can be).

How's that work? A season is roughly 12 games. Are they going to change uniforms three times each game?

I'll bet superconferences do nothing for a playoff. If anything it'll make life ever harder for the teams not in a major conference. Do you really think anyone is going to schedule a non-conference game against good small conference teams when their conference schedule will be more difficult than ever before? Not likely. The rich just get richer with superconferences.

I remember when Oregon first came out with the highlighter yellow and gray uniforms, and everyone thought they were horribly ugly. Now, it has become a part of the Oregon culture, and everyone likes them. UMD is trying to do the same thing, they are just 10 years late.

... And stock is up 63 cents. For what would have been a 30 second "UMD beats Miami" on sportscenter to be talked about like they are is a win. I don't think changing up Uni's is reserved for Phil Knight and the ducks either.

I find the fact that college football coaches? players? atheletic wear CEOs? fashion consultants? are actually spending time sitting in a room deciding what their uniform combinations will be to be highly humorous and pathetic at the same time.

Glad I'm a fan of a real team.

It feels weird seeing my UCF Knights getting so much love but we're 7.5 point favorites over Boston College this week. I'll bet we finish top-25 for the second straight season. After the Boston College game the only potentially tough games I can see is @BYU, @SMU and @East Carolina. Our toughest game of the year is probablt at BYU, though that game is non-conference anyway. Aside from UCF Houston is probably the best CUSA team and we don't play them unless we meet in the CUSA title game.

What a disaster Oregon St. is this season. They lost to a terrible I-AA program Sacramento St. last week, now they just got destroyed by Wisconsin 35-0.

Even when they were "good" I didn't think much of their team... But thats just me
