Some context on how much something would need to sell to justify a dub back then, Sentai Filmworks said 3,000 units was good for them, and then Lance from FUNimation responded that 3,000 is way too low to justify dubbing costs. Quote:

Well Funimation does have wider releases with some titles being able to go to Best Buy and Wal-Mart stores(though it has been getting to be less and less lately). Sentai does not do that even on their few titles that sell really well. Plus Sentai titles generally cost more unless you wait for a sale.

Sucks that Netflix have Little Witch Academia and Dragon Pilot: Hisone and Masotan still. Really wish they would allow Sentai to release the BD releases of those shows like they have some of the other stuff that was on Netflix.

Netflix licenses are for streaming-only. They wouldn't really have any effect on being able to get home video licenses besides the declining sales of home video in regions, thus making those licenses more risky to earn back their money.

I wouldn't rule them out having obtained physical rights to some titles, mostly due to bundling of rights. Note The Seven Deadly Sins S1, the Netflix logo is on the North American and German releases.

Feels weird to not have a new slate revealed yet from Funimation given they usually do it every 14th-16th on each month.
At least we know that Plunderer Part 1 (with LE) was listed across retailers for May before being removed soon after. |

Uh, guys, I think Sentai rescued Nana. I double-dipped on the 2021 release of Girls und Panzer: This is the Real Anzio Battle! and there's a trailer for Nana on it.
[Edit]Now that I think about it, there was Kaiji, and now this. Sentai may have gotten an NTV package deal, wonder what else we could see from them if that is indeed the case. Last edited by BigOnAnime; 01-24-2021 at 10:13 AM. |

https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/enc...e.php?id=16863 The notable changes: -Ian Fagen is credited for "Supervising Translator" and likely further tweaked the original translation -Janice Williams did the subtitling this time instead of Dwayne Jones -Ryan Anthony is credited for "Disc Authoring" with Joel McCray who authored the original release by himself Also, something that should have been on the original release is only on the 2021 release. Brittany Deans is credited for "ADR Manager" and Annie Nguyen is credited for "ADR Scheduling". I've not seen them credited on anything from the last few years or so, I'm not even sure if they're still at Sentai anymore. They also weren't credited in the Sentai at Home credits. |

I got lucky and purchased the four DVD sets for the Nana series just days before set 2 went OOP back in 2015 - but to get it on Blu-ray, even just a decent upscale, would be awesome, and a Premium Edition would be fantastic!
