I just picked up the steelbook at BB, but as I paid for it, the associate took my e-mail address, telling me it was so they could e-mail the access code for the exclusive documentary content.

I asked, isn't it already on one of the discs, and she said no.

So, can anyone here confirm if the exclusive documentary is on the disc or not? The quoted posts are helpful, but I read those before going to buy it, and I'm confused now.

I would like to know because I will return the steelbook for the standard if the doc is download only.

Thanks for any info.

I ordered the steelbook from best buy this morning...I was emailed a cinemanow login for "Reborn".

What is this...just a digital dload option for what is already existing on the disc within the package?

No. It's about 35/38 min. of stuff all or mostly on the special features that come with the movies. And the book is only a partial of the regular book (+ I assume it's smaller). What did you think of the "unabridged" Book? Worth the price of admission?
Thanks guys. That settles it. Regular edition for me. With my 10$ BB coupon, that will bring it out to 8 bucks. Can't beat that.

As for the book? It's a neat quick read, but no grand revelations. Fairly standard stuff. My public library got a copy, so it didn't cost me a thing. I personally have no desire to spend the money to own it, but if you're into coffee table type books, you might dig it.

I'm pretty surprised Warner's chose to put that awesome lenticular cover on their less expensive version (The Dark Knight trilogy DVD set) instead of on the more expensive set (The Dark Knight Trilogy blu-ray set). Probably not alone when I say I think they would have made even more off TDKR if the blu-ray trilogy had the three lenticular bat logos as its cover. With collectors buying multiple editions (regular, steelbook, cowl, digibook), I think a lot would have had to pick up the trilogy if it had the lenticular that the DVD set has.

I already got the cowl and the steelbook, but I would have triple dipped for the trilogy if it had that lenticular case that the DVD trilogy has--and I say that as someone who already has Begins and Dark Knight on blu-ray (and now The Dark Knight Rises). That's how cool the lenticular case is! For the first time in years I'm actually considering buying a DVD(s) just to have that case. (I have a shelf dedicated to the Nolan Batman films. The DVD trilogy would look cool displayed alongside the cowl and the steelbooks. It wouldn't just be tucked into a shelf, unseen. That's how I justify it as me not wasting my money, anyway. )

I wonder if next year's Ultimate Collector's Edition will have the lenticular bat symbols as the cover?

Anyway, WB did a great job on this release. Cowl is awesome, steelbook is sexy, and the actual blu itself is well done.

Picked up my BB Steelbook today and after the $25 promotional certificate they gave me over the Thanksgiving/Black Friday weekend, I ended up paying $1.90 for it.

Picked up the Best Buy steel book early this afternoon. Only two left when I got there. Getting something to eat, then I going to crank this baby up.

Again and again : the digital download is an extra freebie because it's of little use unless you're into other devices - multiple reputable sources have confirmed that it's on the disc - as they were watching it.. Many, well, not most, sales clerks don't know squat. The only way you're going to believe it is to buy it and see for yourself.

Forgot to add that normally I would choose a digibook over a steelbook, but my OCD dictates that this movie match the other two....so steelbook won this time.

it's a small town so we won't gripe about it... they probably will change their prices later on this week so its no big deal lol.

My problem is, I don't own any Batman steels, I bought the digibook, but since the first 2 movies are only $9.99, I'm thinking about buying all steels. Decisions, decisions...

I'm not crazy about the cheap-looking insides, but I'm seeing users cut and insert their own art (from the original cases I assume)

A : Can you wear that mask?
B : Let me know what you think about the DigiBook. I've got an unopened one sitting here and I'm ready to pop open my Trilogy copy - assuming I'll sell the Cowl and the DigiBook. But I'm really tempted by that DigiBook ...
