With collectors buying multiple editions (regular, steelbook, cowl, digibook), I think a lot would have had to pick up the trilogy if it had the lenticular that the DVD set has.

I already got the cowl and the steelbook, but I would have triple dipped for the trilogy if it had that lenticular case that the DVD trilogy has--and I say that as someone who already has Begins and Dark Knight on blu-ray (and now The Dark Knight Rises). That's how cool the lenticular case is! For the first time in years I'm actually considering buying a DVD(s) just to have that case. (I have a shelf dedicated to the Nolan Batman films. The DVD trilogy would look cool displayed alongside the cowl and the steelbooks. It wouldn't just be tucked into a shelf, unseen. That's how I justify it as me not wasting my money, anyway. )

I wonder if next year's Ultimate Collector's Edition will have the lenticular bat symbols as the cover?

Anyway, WB did a great job on this release. Cowl is awesome, steelbook is sexy, and the actual blu itself is well done.
Same here. It's sharp looking. I'm definitely not going to get it though unless/until it's got BD's in it. I did however pick up the Steelbook and the Digibook. I would've picked up the standard edition as well to sit next to my standard BD copes of Begins and TDK had the cover been something other than that whatever it's called. I'd rather it had a cover similar to what TDK had where it wasn't extra fat but was still slick looking. I'm not a fan of those WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY CALLED?!?! But you know what I mean.

Got the steelbook at BB. Was looking to get the cowl edition as a gift for a friend but wal-mart was sold-out. My local F.Y.E. store had it but it was 45 or 50 dollars and I didn't feel like paying that much for it. Oh well.

Can't wait for the ultimate set in 2013!

Batman haul overload. I don't want to flood the thread with pics so in a spoiler they go. Warning: There are about 9 pictures lol

[Show spoiler]Here's everything I got today plus just the other versions I have of the previous films thrown in.

My Batman Begins regular Blu-ray is lent out to a friend, but here's TDK and TDKR:

Here is the Target exclusive digibook:

Here is the Best Buy exclusive steelbook with BB and TDK:

The Trilogy set with the 300-page Batman book sampled with it:

The Cowl edition (which I ****ing love):

Miscellaneous photos:

Money out of my own pocket - $48.96

I know thats a lot of pictures but I was just so god damn excited.

I agree with you guys. I would have absolutely double dipped on the trilogy if it had the DVD set's lenticular cover and I'm not even that big of a fan of this trilogy.

For now, the regular editions are fine with me.

Agree. Would have totally bought the trilogy if it had the cover of the DVD trilogy.

Never been crazy about digibooks and steelbooks...just picked up the combo pack at Target. It was about a 10-15 minute walk from the house, so I decided to go up there since I have the day off and pick it up. There were plenty in stock...I was in and out. Watching this tonight.

The steels look so nice together on the shelf that I can forgive the plain insides. And you can always buy cheap used 1.99 DVD copies of the 1st two films, and then use those covers to make the inside artwork!

lol, no it's really small. It opens up to house the discs inside

Since it's a non-standard case, I actually keep mine on my book shelf in front of my graphic novels section (which is totally out of order, another strike to the OCD'ers ), and next to my other BD mask editions

I was one of the users who did this, I had pics loaded on here but think they disappeared this summer when the site went down. I just took the cardboard wrap around piece and trimmed it to fit inside. I still think that looks pretty good, at least better than nothing.

They say there's no reading material in it - except the comic. Mine's still sealed. If you've opened yours : what do you think?
I just opened it and looked at it and I liked it. The comic was about the only reading, but it has some nice photos and the comic was also nice. It's neat to have a little comic book reading since it's a Batman movie and Batman is a comic book character. The photos had some reading the explained the photos so that was nice.

By the way on page 213 Rickster1818 posted a video on this Blu-ray edition that might help you if you want to know more about what it looks like inside.

I always have the chips, popcorn and soda when making it a movie night. If there's still room...I'll add in the ice cream. Now that I have the trilogy complete, I'll go watch them in order. I see you're the proud owner of this as well. When did you pick it up?

I was hoping for an actual menu on Batman Begins since it's part of the Trilogy box set, but nope....same disc as it was originally released. I guess they will add a menu for it on the Ultimate Collectors Edition next year.

Can anyone who has the cowl version tell me if it fits on a standard media shelf? I won't have mine until Thursday and I want to know if I should clear some room.

All digibooks have notes and pictures about the movie. Not a comic about the intro of the movie. Thats stupid imo.

Im going to pick up the combo pack to go along with my steelbook. And to keep order of the other standard batman cases.
I don't know what to tell you. You should have done your research before buying. Its been known for quite some time that we were getting mostly a comic with the digibook.
