Just pre-ordered from K-mart!?! I just couldn't beat the price. Should arrive on the 8th.

I got an email from them saying it was backordered

Edit: shipped!

Diabolik DVD stated on their Facebook page that the Cannibal Holocaust Blu is the all-time best seller on their site.

I've never seen this movie, but was thinking about getting it b/c of all the hype surrounding this release. Is it really as bad as some IMDB comments make it sound to be?

I just watched the Blu-ray, and this is exactly how I feel about it as well!

What do you mean by bad ? IMDB posters are probably just slamming the film due to animal violence.

It's a very well made film with a good story and good acting. This isn't a fun movie in any way, and due to the extreme violence (not even touching on the animal violence), I wouldn't recommend a blind buy (even if your username is Camp Crystal Lake).

Poor choice of words. I meant bad as graphic. IMDB posters and reviews listed some very graphic scenes that they said were in the movie. Is it as graphic as its reputation suggests?

Yes. Approach with caution. Have you ever seen any italian cannibal movies ? I ask, as if you have, you may be prepared for the animal violence. However, keep in mind that this is the most gruelling cannibal movie that exists, and as I mentioned, even the animal cruelty free version is pretty hard.

None. I own a bunch of Italian films from studios like Blue Underground. I thought New York Ripper was graphic, although I enjoyed it.

Me too. Kind of a bummer but I'm willing to wait it out because of the good price from the Father's Day sale

I know you can get it from B&N for about $23 if you are a member and use the 10% off coupon code they have right now. That's what I did.

Screw this backorder nonsense - I'm going to try my luck at any of the 4 or 5 B&N stores in my area. One of them must have a copy or 2 in-stock. If I do find a copy I'll just sell my blowitoutahere copy whenever it shows up.

I just placed an order on the B&N website. It's scheduled to ship today.

For those that ordered this from blowitoutahere.com, I got a shipping conformation this afternoon. Hopefully, yours won't be far behind.

Just got my conformation as well. I've never seen this movie. I once paid $20 for a used dvd several years ago but it ended up having what looked like gum on the disc so I had to return it. It should interesting.

I ordered from them this morning and my total was $21.08 as I had a 20% member coupon they sent in the mail. Only concern is how they ship it. I assume they just use flimsy bubble mailers if you only buy one item? I want this baby mint!

Ordered from B&N and want this one mint too. My last order from them, Kino's The Blue Angel 2-disc edition, actually arrived fine inside a sturdy cardboard envelope. Let's hope this one arrives fine too (if not, I guess I'm returning it).

I've had a number of items sent from B&N in a flimsy plastic bag. No padding, just... plastic.

Thank you for this info!

Ordered late last night using the EARLYBIRD code and I
got it for $24.99 before the price went up today to $27.24!!

Tried to use my 20% off code but does not work on this title...
