Still, after reading the script, he didn't cut that much out to add another 30 minutes to it.

I'd believe this story if it was said that the director's cut was going to add another 5 to 10 minutes. But, 30 minutes? Nope. Not happening.
How can you say so emphatically that there's no way. Are you Christopher Nolan? Or a WBHV exec? Or someone that would have these details on hand? Just because you read a script?

I have the script too, and although I'm not Christopher Nolan or a WBHV exec, I don't think they'd have enough footage to make the film 30 minutes longer. I highly doubt that they could add in 30 minutes and actually have it be important footage, I don't see a way.
Unless they purposely wanted to make the film move slowly by adding back in redundant, badly written dialogue and keeping in expository scenes that explain things that have already been explained.

I'd love to see an extended cut with a slightly longer finale, fixed plotholes(where's Miranda), restored footage that was cut from the trailer(like Alfred's confrontation) and some more of Bane... but that should only add up to 2-5 minutes.

Yeah, although I'd like an Extended Cut, it's not likely.

Christopher Nolan has never done an extended cut, and he really isn't as involved in special features as other directors such as Ridley Scott or David Fincher.

And if they ever add back in footage, knowing WB, they'd make up double-dip for it. WB only seem to release extended cuts first release when their films are flops.

i only want a directors cut if i have an option to still only watch the the theatrical. lately it seems that you can get one or the other, but not both.

It would be nice to see the additional footage cut into the film versus just as a bonus feature. as long as the footage is complete and sensible. I know this isnt always possible and I have seen tons of scenes that are junk, sometimes not even worth being on as a bonus feature.

while a directors cut would be nice it wouldn't be the first time we've heard of WB possibly tinkering with Nolans films... Inception 3D rumors anyone?

No, they were nine minutes. The film in total was 165 minutes.

If you consider 9 minutes to be almost 20 minutes, then sure. #MathIsFun

Another such (somewhat more minor) editing error that I find is the chase of Bane after the stock market raid. It is clearly day outside (and if normal Wall Street/finance hours are assumed, before 5pm), and there is a time condition imposed on the scene (9 minutes and some change until the info transfers)...yet, before this nine minutes is up it is practically the middle of the night outside. Maybe if I had been a little more into the film this wouldn't have jumped at me so, but it did regardless.
This was the most glaring problem for me, by far.

I sensed some deleted scenes. I thought, even though I loved loved loved this film, that Miranda Tate (Marion Cotillard) was either a victim of deleted scenes or under-written. I know Nolan prefers theatrical cuts as his DCs, but if he shot more to keep the IMAX under 3 hours, I would love to see more, especially these rumored scenes.

Either way, once again, I would love for WB to include a Maximum Movie Mode for this.
