I wonder what is going to happen with the UK release of this now?…
Release day is right around the corner, folks (including me) have already received emails to say they’ve been charged for copies ordered on the Warner Bros shop. I wonder if it’ll just come out regardless and they’ll issue replacement discs to those who request them, or they’ll just delay it (if that’s possible so close to release).

Another possibility, I fear, is that less vocal territories like the UK don’t see any changes made at all - and Warners believe we’ll just live with it.

It’d be nice to get some indication what the plans are, given the UK release is just a week away.

Yeah I'm hoping we hear something soon. I have the Steelbook set on preorder with Zavvi which has a release date of Dec 13 but the standard amaray set is just over a week away

Just a heads-up in case word hasn't gotten around yet: Per retailers, it looks like WBHE is officially recalling MAD MAX 2 & THUNDERDOME in 4K. Presumably, they confirmed the audio error, are moving to correct it, and will have a replacement program at some point.

Now correct Clockwork Orange's 5.1 track and throw in a lossless mono while you're at it. And give Batman the original 5.1 track.

Why won't they fix this seeing as they are fixing 2 and 3?

Just heard about the recall. I got my Anthology set from Target in-store a few days ago. If they know about the recall, will they still take it back or will they give me trouble as it's been opened but I have the receipt?

Batman had a 6-track mix for 70mm, so yes, it did have a 5.1 mix originally.

I was looking to find out witch of the EU version of Mad Max (1) has Dutch subtitels.
Because there is no release date in Holland.

It seams the UK version had Dutch subtitles, but it has als a Bonus disc!

4.2 - mono surrounds

Most 70MM mixes were in that configuration. There are a few 5.1 70MM mixes, but they were pretty rare in the '80s.

I think the legitimate point is that most 6-track 70mm mixes can be faithfully presented in 5.1 for home theater viewing.
