The steelbook never came with a corrected disc, in fact it pretty much sold out around the time the 4Kult with the region free disc was released.

Same applies to the original keepcase release, all copies that are still sold are from the initial pressing.

Finally got around to this one tonight as a blind buy. Mine was bought and shipped from Amazon and the 4K came region locked. Thankfully I have a region free player but a word of warning if you don't, they are still floating around out there actively being sold by Amazon.

Another quirk is I skipped the Eagle logo intro and just got a blank screen after. I thought I had a bum disc but I decided to sit through the Eagle intro and then I got prompted for English/Italian and then everything loaded fine.

Solid movie. I didn't love it or think it was one of Scorsese's best but, it's well made and I don't think he's capable of making a bad movie. I just found it a bit pedestrian. I will praise Leo for some of his best acting to date although the thing he was doing with his jaw kind of annoyed me. Still, the accent worked for me and it felt like he was actually playing a character instead of just Leo.

Outside of the region lock, it's a very English friendly release. I thought I had read that there were some burned in Italian subs but I didn't see any of that. There were several moments throughout the film spoken in Osage language and not translated which was a stylistic choice. Others are translated with English subs. There was one translation that has some misspellings but other than that, everything seemed fine.

The visuals were pretty dark since a lot of it takes place in natural lighting but it looked good overall. Sound was excellent.

I don't really know if I'll revisit it but I did find it a solid and engaging movie that's worth at least worth a watch even without the 4K.

Also, not an "error," but it would be cool if the "premium" version allowed playback with english intertitles as an option in addition to italian intertitles.
