I didn't say that you were uneducated. Can you not follow the context of a single sentence?

My point was given the choice between following your opinion ***OR*** that of an uneducated, mentally challenged giraffe (which is meant to be a completely separate entity from you.... it is NOT meant to represent you), I would go with the giraffe, given what an awful track record you have.

The giraffe being a separate entity from you (and not meant to be you / represent you) should have been more than obvious. How the hell do you get that confused??

Supposedly, Vudu upgraded a bunch of films people have to 4K UHD from HDX. I saw a bunch of posts about it going around on Reddit. Anyone know which films they are upgrading? I have a lot of stuff that is MD2D scans and redemption codes in there, but so far NONE of my stuff has been upgraded to 4K UHD which kind of pisses me off.

Just checked my library. Nothing was upgraded for me either. And I have some movies that I purchased in 4K on disc but the code redeemed HDX. Those are still HDX as well. If they are upgrading titles I must not have any of them. But considering my Vudu library is at 525 I would think at least one title would be in my collection.

Same here. I'm at 525 titles and some TV shows in there, and I don't think any of mine were upgraded to 4K UHD. That kind of pisses me off. I may go look around in the dedicated Vudu thread and see if there is any information there. Thanks.

I’m still debating getting The Last Of Us 4K. Don’t want to get stung like American Horror Story where they don’t put further seasons out, especially when I was 7 seasons in at the time.

I won't be able to resist it, regardless of whether or not further seasons are released. One of my favorite things I've watched this year.

For what it's worth it works as a stand-alone season. The game was conceived that way. Overall I think I prefer the game, though. But, I am curious to see the reaction to the second season based on all the internet (basement dweller) backlash the second game received and if the show will suffer the same fate. Either way, I think it's very likely to receive a 4k release.

One major downside is the bonus features, which, compared to the amazing GoT bonus features, are lacking. The same was true of House of the Dragon.

Shockingly, I haven’t played the game yet. I spent almost an entire generation playing VR games so I am far behind. I subscribe to the extra tier of PS+ so it’s a real benefit slowly working through all the games I haven’t played (I have a PS5)
I think the second game will probably drop at some point in the future.

Before Penguin jumps in saying I shouldn’t be giving my money to a digital platform, it makes sense to me as I can now afford more disc purchases than ever. There will be enough content going forward that I don’t need to buy new games with the sole exception of GTA6 which I simply can’t wait for.
As much as I love gaming, it’s my second love, my main focus is film and always has been.

Streaming's plan to cut back on content and raise prices until they aren't losing a billion dollars every 3 months is probably not going to end well.

Soon as you begin to get over a price increase, here's another one.

It's crazy but at least it's optional. Even Netflix is not essential these days.

Consolidation will be a major thing over the next few years. We are seeing merges here in the U.K. as the industry eyes ad supported services. The first being (Paramount owned) Pluto and Channel 5 (one of our five big broadcast channels) who will combine their services from late next year.

Our other catch up/streaming broadcasters are combining for one big broadband supplied free service with ads and no doubt there will be other deals, and that’s before we even get to the major oversees streamers.

But ads are all the rage and I f****** hate them.

When there's like 3 of them it will be like the network TV we used to have.

It just won't be free.

I saw sombody mentioning that it was only sony and wb titles that are bought on vudu and they would not transfer to other services. No d2d, no ma copies and no promo codes. Just a few movies bought on vudu upgraded only on vudu basically a pr statement that only impacts 1% of most peoples collections given all all the restrictions.

I don't have a 4K TV yet, I was wondering if upconverted (to "4K") HDTV (1080i/p or 720p) streams (with TV created HDR) look about the same as true 4K+HDR streams?
