I think the reason the Monday being the lowest drop than other MCU movies is the fact this is the first time kids have been off whilst it's been released.

Cause everybody knows that Canada is just the U.S.'s roof.

It's really because IIRC the sales are for 'North America' not just the United States.

One thing that I think works to the movie's advantage to is that it honestly doesn't "feel" like a Superhero movie.
We're so used to watching solo superhero movies. Guardians was a wonder because it focused on the team aspect. Now, if only Marvel could back the rights to Fantastic Four!

I have been saying for a while now that Marvel should make an all female team movie and an Annihilators movie . They would both kill at the box office .

I helped contribute to that number last night!

Seriously though, this may have a shot at $300M just in North America if it stays on pace (I'm basing this on the fact that it's ahead of Winter Soldier day over day).

.
Just got back from seeing it. 4 stars

I liked the STAR WARS type of feel that I have been waiting for what seems like forever to experience again.

Can't wait for further installments.

Fox Force 5

Fox, because they're a bunch of foxy chicks.
Force, because they're a force to reckoned with.
and 5, because there's 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 of them.

And if I have to be a bit of a prude, I thought the Jackson Pollack/blacklight joke was a tad inappropriate for a Marvel movie.

Those of you with kids, what's your opinion on that scene?
I went with my wife, daughter (11) and son (7). We loved the movie and can't wait to see it again. I had no issue with the finger because of the context in which it was being used (as a joke). I just leaned over to my son, and whispered that yes it was funny but he (my son) shouldn't do it, and he understood. As far as the blacklight joke is concerned, which was off the charts funny, no explanation was necessary since the joke was so far over their heads. In other words, I had no issue with that joke at all as a parent.

I was thinking Marvel , Ms Marvel , She Hulk , Angela , Scarlet Witch , Black Widow . You could even have Pepper with an IM suit . That would be a pretty tough group .

I don't mind Canada being part of America. Canada has some cool people. Plus it helps the earnings look better in an era where box office momentum is everything.

Speaking of box office momentum . I think this is the kind of movie that could kill it in China , because of the 3d and how great it was .

You are a smart parent.

I like obscene humor in family movies. Kids aren't stupid. I think it's healthy to let kids hear swear words and see obscene gestures in movies, as long as their parents constantly teach and remind them that movies are fake those words are inappropriate to use in real life.

Treat kids like small adults and they will act like small adults. Pretending that obscene words and gestures don't exist doesn't teach kids anything useful or prepare them for their teenage years.
