Well Best Buy had the older episodes on sale too including the Limited Editions pretty recently and a couple of times before that, but notice the past tense. I'm sure it will happen again. Right now only R Part 1 DVD is on sale for $15 which is 50% off.

Well they hadn't even started to dub Crystal S3 a month ago, so probably not for a long time.

As for Super S, given Viz's track record, I'd say probably Jan or Feb.

By the time Anime Expo takes place, which is always when they have their biggest panel of the year, Sailor Moon S P2 will have been released. So they will literally have to discuss both SuperS and SMC S3, and (hopefully) also SMS: The Movie. I'm hoping to see a SuperS P1 and a Crystal S3 set by the end of 2017, with the SS P2 and SMS movie sometime in early 2018.

At ACen I asked about the movies and they currently say they want to but its all waiting on licensor approval. I wanted to ask about SuperS since they didn't even mention casting announcements but didn't get a chance (Some other guy asked yet again about the DiC/CWi dub and got the same "We literally can't" answer.)

That's unfortunate because I (and many others) would love to get the other films ASAP, sure they're not the best things I've ever seen but the true HD is all I care about despite the fact they might use the same DNR methods they did for R but hey at least they won't be a standard definition upscale. I am curious who they will cast for the Dead Moon Clan.

I figured there'd at least have been something new, they showed a rough clip of one of the S episodes in Part 2 (Which is coming out June 25th now.), re-showed the trailers for S & Crystal S1/S2/S3 and said they'd have more news regarding Crystal at AX. I'd figured they'd want to get S out around the Holidays considering its snow/ice themed.

Decided to start picking these up. I bought the LE for season 1 part 1 while it's still available and was wondering...

Did the LE's not come with slipcovers? It's fine if it didn't, as it will save me the trouble of trying to track down the part 2 copies with them, but I can't seem to find a confirmation as to whether there was a slipcover (aside from the artbox) over the cases or not.

I still need R, which is like my 2nd favorite season, but I've already seen the VIZ episodes via Hulu and prefer to get what's more "new," such as a decent S/SuperS dub and Sailor Stars. So that's kind of taking priority over R at the moment. I will probably buy it though sometime after SP2 since it'll be a while before we get anything related to the original anime series.

Part 2s having slips are mainly to match the standard edition of Part 1s. The LE Part 1s have no slips, and I've been removing my Part 2 slips and putting them on the "placeholder" cardboard boxes. I also keep the art cards in those boxes from the Part 2 GWP releases.

Good to know. That actually is a bit of a relief since I can just order the part 2's at my convenience without having to worry about slipcovers for them. Same thing happened with my Robotics; Notes where the LE for part 1 had no slip and part 2 did. I just took it off since it fits a little snug with the slip on anyways.

I got something neat today that I thought I’d share. Tuxedo Mirage is my favorite theme out of all the OP/ED sequences and has always struck an emotional chord, so I just had to pre-order this music box replica back in November to display with my chipboard boxsets. The designers have captured the general design of the music box featured in the ED animation and the feeling of the entire segment wonderfully with this piece. This item will proudly be my very first (and likely only) piece of non-disc SM merchandise.

I do the same thing just I don't put the cards in the placeholder box.
