Was fortunate to be able to see it in the cinema. Another great addition to Fincher's portfolio. It would be a shame if it doesn't get a disc release, and this film will be another one that will have little cultural impact, sadly.

No, this one does not have ATMOS, just 4K DV. I was bummed but the standard 5.1 track is pretty damn good.

Yeah..I know that the movie is kinda panned, but I do recall my kids and I have a lot of fun with that one..I also remember the presentation to have been quite stellar...

I rarely use my Netflix account for movies. I don't have the time or inclination to measure these things definitively but, on my setup, there seems to be an enormous difference in quality between how their homegrown "feature " titles play and their catalogue offerings...

In my HT, I've had to use a KODI plugin in order to stream NETFLIX in DV and ATMOS over the built NVIDIA SHIELD app.

I've recently switched to BELL FIBE and was planning to use their supplied box ( hard wired) to watch THE KILLER with their built in NETFLIX app..I haven't played around with it much. It's supposed to natively support DV/ATMOS but I'll check and see.. if not, I'll use the SHIELD KODI workaround...

If Rogers box is of any indication, the results will be a mixed bag. Sometimes I don’t get Atmos, sometimes I get Atmos but crappy video quality. I got fed up and returned that box back to Rogers. I just use my AppleTV 4K.

Received Duel 4K today, the 4K theatrical version is fantastic but the bonus tv version is horrific. It’s a A.I upscaled monstrosity and I can’t believe it’s been passed off.

The picture quality is amazing and it's nice to finally have some special features for this one. Will probably make my top 10 list this year for discs.

I have not watched that version yet but I did read your thoughts and saw some pics of the horrid AI upscaling.

I did watch the Spielberg interview, though.

Received these two today:

Not sure about anyone else, but I'm getting to the end of my rope with these "Made In Mexico" discs. Equalizer 3 is one of these, complete with the small scratches on the disc surface and all. Wiped it down and they're still there. Oh well, hope it doesn't affect playback. Kind of pisses me off. You spend all that money and they give you an inferior product.

Never had a scratched disc. Is this a new thing with the Mexico plant?

New Firmware installed in my projector this morning.

New HDR gen 2 Tone mapping is amazing. It won a Best of CEDIA 2023 award. I've only watched a few scenes with the new tone mapping but they looked so incredible.

"The Frame Adapt HDR Generation 2 firmware tackles one of the biggest challenges in HDR content: maintaining fine detail in both the darkest and brightest elements of a picture. The balanced images produced by the updated firmware were especially impressive, making it clear why JVC was deserving of the "Best of CEDIA" award. Keep an eye out for our upcoming coverage, as we'll be providing a first look at this year's firmware, just like we did last year."

Got myself a new receiver last night (Sony STR-DH590) because the optical-to-RCA converter box I was using died again (the receiver I had only had RCA ins), and I watched Equalizer 3 last night, sounded really nice on my 3.1 setup.

Anyone have any demo titles they like to use for their system? I always used the final battle scene from Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix as one.
