Exactly. 35,000 for the entire county for a popular movie like this is extremely limited.

What I can't believe is that people are actually bidding on them. The Wal-mart I went to this morning to get some prescriptions for my girlfriend had about 4 of the cowl editions for something like $38 each. I thought about it but got the trilogy edition instead and gave away my Batman Begins and The Dark Knight Blu-rays to my girlfriends' son. I got him the regular Blu-ray DvD combo pack of The Dark Knight Rises so he could have his trilogy complete.

30 new pages since my last visit yesterday!? WTF - I ain't readin' all that.

Picked up the Best Buy steelbook yesterday at midnight with about 100 people in line.

The picture quality on the IMAX shots is phenomenal! The sound is also so LOUD when Bane talks. My room started to shake!

Hi can someone with the cowl edition weigh theirs? I need to ship this to my cousin and I don't have a scale on hand.

You went to the store the morning of its release and there were "about" 4, that's not really indicative of these being readily available...

I guess I'm going to wait till the dust settles before redeeming my UV copy. Flixster has been acting up the past several days as I'm using Firefox and Chrome.

Can't wait to watch this on BD during vacation next week. Going to crank up both of my subs!

That sucks if enough people complain then maybe they would stop using those things.

Glad my Target didn't do that..... this time. They had them out on the TDKR stands so no security cases on them thank goodness.

Also my BB didn't have any Trilogy movies. Either they sold out, or they never received them. They had tons of SB's left after 8:00pm.

I was there at about 10 am and from my understanding Wal-marts are usually open 24 hours. So if someone wanted a cowl edition badly they could have gone anywhere between the hours of midnight til 10 am to that particular Wal-mart and found one. Also that was just one store in a city that has about 6-8 Wal-marts, so chances are or were good to getting a cowl edition in Austin Tx at least.

What am I missing with the Target protector? They take them off when you buy it...

It had a little (1.5x1 inch) white sticker with a blue top showing the Best Buy ticket symbol and "Exclusive" in white letters. The blue text on the white field said "Giftset with Exclusive THE DARK KNIGHT REBORN Documentary". I never even noticed it at the store so I can't say if it was on the front or the back. I found it when I was cutting off the plastic wrap. So, I checked the Rises bonus disc and, sure enough, there it was. No biggie, but it's always nice to get something extra for free. Getting the DigiBook (no spider wrap) for $10 was even better.

So I bought the steelbook at BB today and plan on holding off watching this until Saturday when a couple of my buddies come over and we do a Dark Knight Trilogy viewing on my 106" projector screen. It sounds like the audio quality on this is phenomenal. Question for those who have seen it now, how does Bane sound in this audio mix? Loud, brooding, more badass? Just wanted to know before I start watching.
