I’m in for the Best Buy fire sales. I bought so much when Blockbuster, Hollywood Video and VideoStop went out of Business.

Releases are announced 3 to 4 months before they come out usually. I'm saying the first quarter to April isn't looking promising.

If their are many films your excited for you could name name them. My list just happens to be rather short as 4k re releases don't normally excite me.

I do have a list of things I expect to pick up at dollar tree, big lots or dmi once best buy sends over its stock for clearance.

I don't know much more than you at this time... that's kind of my point. You can see film release schedule but you won't know what's good until you see it, you have to take some risk. But I will watch Holdovers, Poor Things, Boy and the Heron, One Life, Priscilla, All of Us Strangers in the coming weeks since those have had a good word-of-mouth (in January). Most of them 2023 releases but in the UK they take longer to come out.

I quite enjoyed Society of the Snow as I mentioned above. I also enjoyed Ferrari far more than most it seems, although I will say it does have issues imo.

I love the ATV4K but with new TVOS there is a new icon that appears on screen whenever anyone in my house is using Facetime.

I never would use Facetime in my theater and I haven't been able to get rid of this icon. I tried setting the focus to do not disturb and made sure all notifications are off. I can not delete the Facetime App from the ATV4K and I can not keep this annoying icon off the screen.

I hope someone cares enough to fix this. Maybe Apple loves FT so much they can't help but brag that someone else in the house is currently using it.

Yeah, that's just the starters - the main course will follow soon enough.

Great selection of films mate. A few there that interest me, but I'm particularly looking forward to Alien: Romulus and Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.....and of course, it goes without saying, finally getting my hands on The Abyss.

Thanks, yeah it just a shame we have to import The Abyss but a German import should work out quite easy.

Hopefully, the new Apes film will match the quality of the last trilogy.

Yes, that will do nicely. I'll happily import any disc which is high up on my wanted list. Just recently been importing some Australian boxsets of British films which are currently not available here in.....yes, Britain would you believe.

Crazy, isn’t it? I recently imported some Umberella titles, they seem like a good Australian label. Picked up Bride Of Re-animator and Beyond Re-animator.

Yes both Umbrella and Via Vision have some really good stuff. In my case, I bought the Carry On series (Anglo-Amalgamated years). Here in the UK, only 4 of them were released on Blu-ray, but Via Vision released all 12 of them in 3 boxsets, so good on them I say. Also got hold of the On The Buses trilogy which were released on Blu-ray by Via Vision too - okay, not exactly Oscar-winning films, but I love them nevertheless.

We like what we like, at the end of the day. If that content makes us laugh, all the better in these times mate.

I assume you have a setting set to "share" with folks in your household. I'd turn off the "Family Sharing" feature and see if that helps.

Thanks. My kids rely on the family sharing to watch my movies while at college.

I’ve posted in the Apple community forums and I think there might be a solution.

I am again considering using the streaming services on tvs in the house and making the HT exclusively for better content.

I'm thinking about this sentiment today in particular...
We're trying to plan our trip for later this year. Between all of our schedules, we have had to prune a few destinations....
Yesterday, my wife informs me that she wants to skip PARIS in favour of a sidetrip to MANCHESTER.... so we can do the CORRIE STREET tour

This was my original plan... but increasingly, streams are making headway in my HT...
So far LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND and SALTBURN were "must sees" with the former doubtful of a physical release any time soon, which, if you've seen it, is one of the greatest ironies in film history..LOL..
I'm also desperately trying to find time for SOCIETY OF THE SNOW.

I never realised the TV soap Coronation Street was known in your part of the world.

I'm sure you've probably already had a look at the website, but in case you haven't:
