My order finally popped up last weekend, it must have gotten held up at customs or something like that. Those covers of Punk Samarai en Electric Dragon 80000V really are beautiful pieces of art. I see that Go is presented in the same way (silpcover, with two inlaycovers). I think this is the best way for Adam to go with the new releases, as Limited Editions tend to be faster sellers (I think?).

Yeah he talked on the podcast about that, I think he said he'd not done a slip with Crazy Thunder Road to keep the price down as it ends up adding a couple of £ to the RRP (I assume with both production costs and commissioning an artist) but then it sold slower than he hoped anyway so making things cheaper doesn't drive sales.
It certainly works to get me spending, limited editions get priority and I've got all the TWF slipcovers so I'm not going to risk missing one now, especially with Punk Samurai going so fast pre order is essential.

So I watched the blu ray for Electric Dragon 80000 V and thought that it was fab. Though I wondered if there is an issue with the sound? Some of the guitar pars sound lower volume/impact than expected. It's definitely 5.1, right?

Also, I noticed that there is an interview with the guy who did the music to that and August In The Water. I'm hoping that we get that film.

Pondering if I should grab Ujicha, Summer Time Machine Blues, Onoda and Funuke from Arrow's sale...
Terracotta hasn't had a TWF sale in forever, but random things do happen on Rarewaves every now and then...

Yes, it's the Katsuhito Ishii box set that includes "Party 7" and this picture alludes to "Shark Skin Man and Peach Hip Girl" ( great film ).

Terracotta’s site says “Something exciting coming this Friday!” Hopefully it’s something TWF related.

If a third window title is out of stock on the arrow website does that mean it's out of print or might they restock?
Not having the best of luck with the easter sale - had hiruko the goblin in my basket but that went out of stock. Thought I'd wait to see if it would come back and now the toshiaki toyoda boxset is out of stock as well - kicking myself I didn't checkout earlier.

no they're not oop, it's just that their system seems to allocate a limited number of units per time, which needs to be manually reset. unfortunately that requires somebody to do it and despite all my mails requesting so, it takes ages to get done. hopefully fixed soon

Fantastic looking release, Adam has really stepped up TWF's design game this year. I had to look up the 'bottom row' of movies, and they all seem to be practically unknown (to English speakers) with Hello Junichi having 14 views on Letterboxd, Sorasoi 8, Promise of August none at all, and Norioka Workshop not even being listed there or on IMDB. Absolutely love the effort going into this to bring that sort of stuff to light.
I was wondering if they were shorts or features, but there's something off with the maths so I'm not sure about Norioka Workshop. TWF lists the set as 424 mins total, but the 5 I can find add up to 440:
Shark Skin 108
Party 7 104
Hello Junichi 90
Sorasoi 88
Promise of August 50
Norioka Workshop ?
In any event Shark Skin and Party 7 could have been standalone releases so the bundle together for £45 seems a good price for this little voyage of discovery.

Norioka workshop is a 30 min short.

But actually you just made me realise i messed up the run time! Should be 470 mins!
Neither promise of august nor sorasoi were ever released on a physical format or even streaming in japan, so they’re pretty unknown to almost everyone!
