OK,thanks for clearing that up for me. I knew it was something like that. They are currently sitting on the little rubber tabs that came with the speaker, but I'm sure the blue stik will add more stability.

Congrats Seekinganswers on getting the matching pieces to the puzzle!

Mike,

You're going all out on those speakers. I can't wait tell you get the final pics up. Very anxious to see.

Yea Mike, everytime I turn around there is something else to do.

But I'm willing to do those little things to help improve my set up and the overall experience. My wife just surrendered a pair of her panty hose for the cause.

Ahhh, that's something I might just use one day myself. Or maybe posters, as previously suggested.

I think I need to go to HD and get some sand. I may have to get some panty hoses too. my wife only has like 1-2 pairs, she never wears them...

Default Rc50

My RC50's broken in for 15 hours. Started soundng amazing with Mranatz SR5005 (My Friends). I like their current warmth and detailing. Will RC50 sound more warmer after 100 hours? I would infact prefer it to sound more crisper.

Another question is Marantz SR1601 vs SR5005. Feature wise they both suffice. Only worry is 50wpc difference. Will it make too much of difference? With SR5005, I could go upto -12 / -13 db in music and -7 / -8 in movies.

Please gove your comments. Thanks !

awwwwwwwww, now that's what I'm talking about. Not only did I get my bass back but everything seems to have improved including imaging. I'm listening to Diana Krall now to test them out and she never sounded better. I need to do a little house cleaning but I can't get away from listening to my system now.

They even sound way better than they did sitting on those phone books.
Filling those stands really did the trick; so thanks everyone for the help. I'll try to take some better photos later for the gallery. I'll let you know when I do.

Mike, because of the way yours is constructed, I don't think you will have the problems I was having. Mine being constructed of metal tubes necessitated them being filled to get the proper sound. You shouldn't have that problem, I wouldn't think.

Knowing me I'm probably just overreacting. I have 2 subs to make up for the bass. Besides the stands are just for my surrounds.

Indeed as adding weight will reduce the resonance to the speaker so it improves the tweeter performance and images better and also dospersde the sound better.
