Well that's because Anakin's journey is:

Episode I: Annoying little kid.

Episode II: Annoying teenager who is either whining or being a creeper towards Padme.

Episode III: Slightly older Anakin who still whines and then is duped into turning to the dark side due to being an idiot.

Yeah, it's embarrassing. And where are the interviews with anyone that actually matters?

Rumors seem to be pouring in that Cumberbatch could be getting a role. This is probably old news to you guys by now but I couldn't think of someone better to be the lead.

One of the stupidest movie ever. Fans are the reason I don't really bother attending conventions that much anymore and also the reason why I don't post much in certain threads. The so call "fans" ( who in reality are nothing but whinners of the worst kind) really are annoying. If your life is ruined because some guy made changes in a movie I am sorry to tell you, it never was much of a life to begin with.

What's even more funny is that most of it was filmed at Star Wars cons where they paid money to enter. They're slamming the movies while at the dudes con, LOL!

I saw a guy wearing this t-shirt at a convention this year and it made me cringe.

With the Holiday Special though, I wonder how much of that is true and how much is re-written history?

There is no doubt that he had to have been consulted, there are too many elements that borrowed from the universe that he was still in the process of creating.

Plus I find it incredibly odd, that this was a person who had such tight control over the property from the beginning--demanding rights that nobody else really cared about demanding--yet had little to no input on the special?

Then there's the "Wookie Storybook" that was released a year later by Lucasfilm that reunited characters from the special....

In any case, the point was that the 'odd' stuff throughout the series shows that Lucas--while creating some incredible stuff--also came up with some crap. And that's OK, because overall it's still very good.

If there were confirmed titles for all three of the new episodes it would be blowing up the internet! Even main stream news outlets would be featuring a story like that. MSN, FOX, Yahoo would all have it on there main page, not to mention the television news outlets... most like some of them would pick it up also and most certainly the entertainment new programs would have a story on it.

There is no way something like that could happen without the entire world knowing about it.

Not to mention, the titles don't flow at all with the way other episodes have been titles, the structure is all wrong. The only one that is even close to realistic is "Episode IX Jedi Resurrection". Even if that were relatively accurate, it would be something closer to "Episode IX: Resurrection of the Jedi".

Think about the titles...
The Phantom Menace
Attack of the Clones
Revenge of the Sith
A New Hope
The Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi

Now think about these...
Days of Peace.. ?
The New Dark Times.. ?
Jedi Resurrection.. ?

Regardless of the actual plot implication of the titles, those three are totally wrong simply in structure, emphasis and form.

C'mon people, if your going to make $hit up, at least put in some effort

Don't tell me....let me guess: You are friends with a close personal friend who is a close personal friend to JJ Abram's cousin's room mate, right?

Judging from your HTiBedroom, I'm guessing you are <18 and, frankly, lack credibility that you have any actual shred of proof of what you're saying.

Slow day at school today?

I'm a diehard SW fan and grew up with the originals. I like the PT as well - warts and all. But I will say, they were for the most part, poorly executed. They just feel like Lucas was more interested in playing with his new toys at his disposal and advancing the film industry forward than he was in telling a compelling story and then executing that story at a level we were accustomed to seeing from him in the 70's and early 80's. The PT would've benefitted greatly from the group effort that we saw in the OT, even with Lucas in the director's chair.

IMO, it wasn't A New Hope, but Raiders and Empire that ultimately started his downfall. The success of those films were what changed Lucas from the filmmaker we had grown to love, to the business man we've grown to hate. Every film that Lucas made up to Empire was a struggle and a gamble. Lucas was at his best when he had his back against the wall, with a limited budget and studio exec's breathing down his neck. That all changed, starting with Jedi.
I could be wrong on that but it seems that when they were making Star Wars, no one knew it would be a hit so Lucas was more willing to take advise but once it came out and did as well as it did, he kind of took over and didn't really listen to anyone if he didn't agree with them. Empire and Jedi are great examples since technically he didn't direct them yet he was changed them and calls those new versions official. I think the success of Star Wars started the downfall. Had the movie been a little less successful, he would have probably kept getting input and Empire and Jedi would have been made, just on a smaller scale. When Star Wars was successful, suddenly he was golden and could do whatever he wanted because who would argue with him? he started to buy into the hype. that lead to the better effects which made more succesful movies and then it all got out of control and we got JarJar.

Just to be fair, watch Trekkies and see the Trek version of obsessed fans. I am a huge Trek fan, I love the shows and know way more behind the scenes stuff than I should but even I watched that and went "damn, get a life people". but I think people need to remember something - how different are these fans compared to someone who is obsessed with sports? how many people do you know who can spout off random sports facts at the drop of a hat? I've worked with tons of people whose life revolves around sports teams and that's all they know so really, Star Wars and Star Trek fans aren't different - just a different interest.

I hope those are not the new titles. I don't see why Disney would release 8 and 9 when they haven't even made 7 yet - the reveal of the title is a good marketing tool so why release them all at once? doesn't make sense. plus i agree - they don't match up with the style of the old ones.

IMAX Boss: New 'Star Wars' may be shot in IMAX.

IMAX CEO says that the company is in talks with director and producer J.J. Abrams over shooting part of "Star Wars: Episode VII" in IMAX.

Quote:
The Force is larger than you might have expected in this one. During a speech at Goldman Sachs' annual Communacopia Conference, IMAX chief executive officer Richard Gelfond dropped the surprising tidbit that the next Star Wars movie may be filmed, in part, in IMAX format.

Talking about the increase in movies being shot in IMAX format (and screen ratio), Gelfond said "We are talking to J.J. Abrams [just] now about the next Star Wars being used with partly IMAX cameras." (Other movies being shot in IMAX, he added, included Christopher Nolan's Interstellar and Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction).

Abrams is no stranger to shooting in IMAX -- parts of Star Trek Into Darkness were shot in that format -- but Star Wars has, until now, been shot in CinemaScope and for some reason -- nostalgia? tradition? phobia of oversize screens? -- the idea of a Star Wars movie in any other ratio just seems… wrong, somehow. It's true that each new Star Wars movie has made technological steps forward, or at least in some particular direction, depending on your feelings about the CGI backgrounds of George Lucas' prequel trilogy, so a step into IMAX wouldn't be that out of character, but still...

I'm not surprised one bit. But this is still very cool. As for Star Wars in a different aspect... that is weird, but still sits okay with me. It's not like Star Wars hasn't changed technically since it started... First they added CGI to the original, then they shot the prequels digitally, then they converted a movie to 3D, and now they're doing IMAX. Almost seems like the next logical step...

Should the titles of the films start with A T and R again, or would this start becoming a pointless gimmick if used again?

I never quite noticed the A, T, R titles now.

I think shooting in IMAX partially should be happening. Along with post conversion 3D.
