I need to get in with you guys and give this another try. Now that I have a few weapons maxed out and a level 28 Hunter I might have a little better luck this time around.

Yeah I have noticed that once I hit 28 a lot of things got easier. Me and GeneralChaos1 ran a few low level Strikes last night with a random and just blew through them. I was actually surprised how easy Phogoth is now that I am leveled up. He maybe lasted 5 minutes. Guess I need to run more Strikes instead of just doing bounties, dailies and weeklies.

Did my first one yesterday with folks from here and it was humbling. I just had no clue what was going on and was woefully much more underarmed with void weapons than I thought going in. Got stuck so many times having to reload my machine gun with Praetorians right on top of me. Platform jumping is about the last type of thing I want to do in a video game like this. Plus I really was hungover as hell and about half way through this whole thing I was craving a stiff drink.

Yeah, I generally get my ass kicked in high level stuff on any game. Did just crack level 28 but that is mostly doing putting in a lot of time and earning shards through public events and level 24 dailys. I am not banging out the high level daily and weekly stuff regularly. Haven't touch a nightfall yet. Level 24 strikes is where I feel most comfortable. I get too reliant on same old guns especially now that I switch them between characters through vault. Need to upgrade other guns.

Am not going to be jumping back into a Raid anytime soon. I don't like being the one to drag a team down. Am just behind the pace of other people. Never got to take advantage of breaking down the Queen's armor. Not experience enough on Raids and now they are already making changes to it. I'll stick to my pace and find the game more enjoyable that way.

Does anyone know if you can have more than 1 exotic bounty going at a time? I have the thorn bounty and even though I don't really want it I don't want to abandon it since it took forever to find...but if it's in my inventory I'm worried I can't get lucky and unlock another.

I've had two on the go at once, it just takes up another of your 5 bounty slots.

Anyone doing a Hard raid run tonight? Or anyone cheesing the final boss on the raid? Got me and a buddy looking for a team and no one wants to since they all already ran it and got the loot

I'm at the point where all my main weapons are maxed out and Im just using bounties to upgrade other Legendaries so I can get more Ascendant energy out of them.

Shadow Price, Corrective Measure, Red Death, Vision of Confluence at 300. The Supremacy at 277, and I have exotics just sitting there since I can only equip one (Beyond Red Death, Plan C, which are my favorites - I rarely use Ice Breaker, Invective is just for the Crucible, Super Good Advice just fires all over the damn place, and Thunderlord is sooooo slowwww).

Getting Young Ahamkara's Spine yesterday pulled me back into the game. Useless for PvE, but it'll look cool in the Crucible.

Come onnnnnn, Raid Chest piece next week. All I need to be 30.

Stock up on Crucible/Vanguard marks. Go to the shops/factions.
Buy Legendary gear, dismantle them.

Public Events sometimes drop Ascendant Shards.

Doing the Daily Story on L24 or L28 will drop a shard or two.

Blue engrams and legendary engrams will sometimes turn to shards.

I might have a chance to do some of the hard raid tonight and finish it tomorrow evening. Or maybe just start it in evening and finish by the night.

I just CBA levelling my alt to 20 atm tbh. If I did, I could just to the raid 2x a week on normal and hard.

I wouldn't mind jumping in but there is probably no way I will be able to finish hard mode considering I haven't finished the normal raid yet.

If you want to bring a nube along send an invite though.

I started alternate character just for the trophies/achievements, plus it's a better way to "farm" ascendant energy/shards.

Same here. Best way to farm is by having alts. Strange Coin, materials, Vanguard marks to buy legendary and break them down. All very beneficial.

Ascendant shards have been a bit easier for me to come by. I need Ascendant Energy to finish upgrading my Shadow Price. I think everything else needs Ascendant Shards
