The title says 'Returning Characters'. Are there other games that these characters come from? If so, what are they as I'd like to play them.

Well, Quantic Dream did make Indigo Prophecy. My guess they'll have some of those characters in Heavy Rain..Sort of like Kingdom Hearts had several FF characters in it.

I was thinking of getting it, but I already have Prototype, Ninja Gaiden Sigma, and Disgaea 3 currently to finish, lol.

Indigo Prophecy was an awesome game. If anything for the storytelling. Although the story takes a wierd twist in the third act. It was one of the most underrated games that came out in it's time. It'd be pretty awesome to see some Indigo Prophecy characters returning in Heavy Rain.

Best summary of Heavy Rain and its gameplay I have heard so far. Great stuff

I have the feeling that Heavy Rain is going to become a landmark in Adventure/ Thriller type games, and possibly storytelling in games as well.

I like the fact how he emphasized that its OK to lose a character or all 4 of the characters and its important that you do not go back and try to save them, but see how the story unfolds.

Heavy Rain is a day one purchase for me. The Story seems excellent. The Characters/atmosphere all seem excellent. But, will it play like a game? That's my only concern...

Is Final Fantasy a game? Running around without detailed environment interaction, going into battles and controlling preset actions with a menu.

I don't understand what's so difficult for others to understand about this type of story game.

If anyone is confused on what sort of game a non-action game is, they should check this one out.

I'm sure if you look hard enough, you could download it for free quite easily.

Thx, Shin-Ra, for providing updates on this game. It's high up on my want list--the concept is refreshingly original and the developers seem so passionate that it would be hard for this to not be a great addition to the adventure genre, whose offerings have been anemic lately.

Not hard to understand. Hard to enjoy. That is the question. I played and loved Indigo Prophecy, but still waiting to see how the combat dynamic plays out in the actual game.

Personally, as long as there is some exploration, I'm a happy camper

Ok, well hopefully the balance (and difference in approach between the four player-characters) will become clearer as they show more at GamesCom and TGS.
