Apparently this is not available for in-store pickup at B&N, just mail order, according to the clerk I spoke with. He also said the sticker price was $39.99 to have a special order copy shipped to the store but $25 for home delivery huh? I walked out emptyhanded of course but came home to a shipping notification from blowitoutahere so my happiness is restored

Cardboard mailers for just one item. Most of mine arrived ok but I did have Life Aquatic's case arrive with the case cracked to pieces.

No luck at the B&N store today so I just ordered through their site. Added the book Lord of the Flies (since I just bought the Criterion Blu-ray) to get free shipping since the book was only $6 since I don't want to waste $3 on shipping when this was only 82 cents from the cutoff.

I just got my copy in the mail and watched it.

Holy crap, this is like what you'd get if the Criterion Collection released it. Same case and everything. The film looks really nice and gritty, and pretty sharp. Sound quality is pretty clear. It's a damn fine Blu-Ray disc and I'm glad to have it.

So K-Mart can officially suck my dick (long rant ahead)

[Show spoiler]I place my order the other day, get an email within 5 minutes saying that my card is declined so I check the card which has enough on it and place another one. Declined again! I call up the credit card company to see what the f*ck is going on and they said that both charges went through.
Check my order status and it says "Cancelled" which it most certainly wasn't. Call K-Mart customer service and they say that the credit card company was responsible for that and they ask me to bring them up on the phone to confirm everything that I just told them, the lady cancels one of the charges and tells me that I should get an email confirming the cancellation but she does not tell me if I will get my movie shipped, which I ask her about and she kinda dicks around until I get a "yes" out of her.
So today I wait around all day for a shipping email and check the status with the number: Cancelled

So now I have since re-ordered through Barnes and Noble....only to get a 15% off coupon emailed 45 minutes after I get my "Scheduled to ship" email
I just can't get a goddamn break on this movie!

Does anyone else have problems with B&N? My order should have been shipped yesterday but instead I got this email:

"We want to give you an update about the pre-ordered item(s) listed below. We apologize, but due to an unexpected delay, we are unable to ship the item(s) listed below in the time frame we stated in our previous email. We expect to ship the item(s) soon and will email you when it is ready to leave our warehouse. If we cannot acquire the item(s) within 30 days, we will notify you by email."

That might be the reason for the delay. Members get expedited shipping. Unless you paid for faster shipping...

I did chose International Priority Airmail. My order status is still "Processing" and the shipping status is "Expected Ship Date: July 1, 2014".

Is the Australian release a 2BD 1CD release also?

I got that Aussie DVD, I'm in Canberra, and can you believe it was released in 2006! Damn time flies!

So if it was released in North America this past Monday, why is Amazon.ca taking preorders for July 29th??

Anyone know whats up with that??

Also I assume the uncut version of this film will be included in this release along with the "animal cruelty free" version right??? I've never seen this yet (I've only heard about it for years) and I want to make sure I get the uncut version when I order this as I'd like to get the full Cannibal Holocaust experience the first time I watch this.

I don't know why, but all other Grindhouse blu-rays were released slightly later in Canada. To answer your second question : This release includes both versions.

Ugh, great question! I was going to place an order through Amazon.ca until I noticed this shit. Really no good reason for this!

As for your other question, yes it includes the fully uncut version alongside the killing free version.

EDIT: beaten to it!

Barnes and Noble does pretty good, thats where I ordered mine through and its already been shipped as of this afternoon.
Diabolik is good too but they seem to be selling out pretty quick, so I don't know when that'll show up.
