Wow it seems to be hard to get these shelves outside of Quebec, the two stores I visited let me leave with one. They didn't wanted to scan my receipt, as a mather of a fact they didn't even checked it. I was there saturday just before they closed and it was very easy to get two.

I'm pretty sure you never read it since it obvious that they are included. You only had to read the very first line of the description.

Two? Lucky you, my store only allowed one per customer and they wrote like a paragraph on each receipt :x

One person tried to get 10 but I wasn't long enough to see how it went down.

Doubt it. But its all about supply and demand. If people really want this, no price is too high, so it is entirely possible.

It's not an inflated price when there was no price to begin with.

And judging by the price he'll get for the set, he's got a lot of balls and he's a really smart dude. Commendable imo.

Someone should ask why is blatently lying. He says limited to 750, there were 750 boxes with 8 shelves per box, so ao actually there are 6000 available.

He also says this is the last one he has left so if he sells this one and lists another one I wonder if you could report that

As to the $300 price it is a bit unreasonable especially since you don't get the actual movies (if he did I would understand the price) but if someone wants it bad enough and will spend it good for them but the market will likely decide that the shelf alone is likely only worth about $100 (in my estimation, don't jump I could be wrong) especially when more of them hit ebay.

Just look at that one SDCC suckerpunch on ebay priced at $500 (that has not sold) while there are 7-10 priced in the $80-120 range.

just my 2 cents

Im going to sound harsh here, but you really have to be out of your mind to spend 300 dollars on a box with nothing in it. Seriously.

If anyone had an ounce of creativity, you would buy an actual SHELF and not a BOX (why do people keep calling this thing a shelf is beyond me...).

After you buy your shelf, you can open your HP DH2 case and notice the insert (should be in there) with the whole store of movie authentic replicas.

Buy the wands, stands for them, decorate the shelf. They have the Deluminator, the locket etc in a display case.

for 300.00 you can buy pretty much all of them and have a killer shelf, with movies displayed and all the authentic merchandise decorating it rather then a 5.00 steel box from Future Shop that can only be viewed by looking at it on the side or back. So I guess this box has to sit in the middle of the room or something because it its against a wall at least 50% of it is unseen and all you can look at it straight on is the spines of the movies.... :\

Add to the fact that next holiday season a more and supposedly complete set is being sold makes this even more of a conundrum.

People are dumb. That is capitilism taking advantage of them.

Apply this same logic to steelbook collecting itself.. they are cases that contain the same media that is often readily available at much more reasonable prices. Why pay hundreds of $ for FS Iron Man or other rare titles. You may not be willing to pay that, but someone somewhere may value the exclusivity and rarity of this Scanavo first to this degree. I'm sure if you had one and someone offered you 300$ your charitable heart will refuse and give it away for a song. Just sayin'... People pay who knows what now for empty steelbook cases as it is.

Let's not all chastise those setting the market price for a first in format and one of a kind item. Excitement will die off and those who want one will get one I'm sure. Speak with your money and don't buy that auction item.. simple as that.

All that being said though.. I'd like to see what someone with some creativity could do with 300$ for steelbook displays... maybe you are onto something.

+1 on that Caesu. I live in bum **** Philippines and even I can have a super looking HP shelf made that would hold all the movies + memorabilia to boot.

Supply/Demand and a little case of exclusivity in this specific case. Again the world you live in. Believe it or not you and me here talking about this specific case is changing the dynamics of supply/demand of the HP case just by perceived demand from what we type.

So don't hate on him/her for selling it an inflated price. I don't like inflated prices either so I just look elsewhere when someone has something priced to the point where I either cant or won't pay for it. I don't stop to hate on them though as they have done nothing wrong. They are a byproduct of the environment they live in.

People through around the "hate" word like its a joke. "Hate" is a very strong word not to be used lightly IMO. If you have a problem with capitalism and want something changed about it look at your elected official(s) in government.

Sorry to get philosophical on a bluray forum but its annoying to see people "hate" on people for no serious reason. If you can "hate" on someone over a bluray case then you got bigger problems. Time to look at in the mirror...
Hating on someone for something I don't have? Dude check where I come from before saying nonsense facts. I have three of those shelves and I will never try to rip off someone off 300$ man. There's making money and then there is making money in a wrong way...in your so capitalist world of yours where someone who tries to make big bucks out of something free is right. Selling those for 300$ is just wrong, in my world. If in yours it seems right well then so be it. Gosh you are talking like if it was ok to take away a candy from a kid and sell it for a dollar.

Time to look at the mirror eh..yeah...right. I don't think I am the one with a problem here pal.

I have no interest at all in HP but if that's the case then he's lying he needs reporting to ebay so the listing can be removed.

Interesting point, if it happened I would report the 2 listings to ebay AND the buyer of the first one as it then has been mis-represented.

Actually it's not unreasonable - it's worth exactly what someone will pay for it. Collectors of anything pay way over the intrinsic value of the item if they want it - just look at the price of some paintings for a very extreme example.
