As amazing as i thought the theatrical cut was i'm definitely in for a DC if WB is planning one, mostly for the scenes of Bane's origin.

The theatrical release was long enough and did it's jobs. Fanboy movie nutz just demand extended cuts for everything.

I don't believe in "overkill". a Film is as long as it has to be. If an extra hour of footage improves it, I'm all for it. If not, then put the deleted footage on the BD for us to watch separately. Better yet, satisfy your market and allow the deleted footage to be seamlessly branched or watched separately. Let the fans that pay through the nose for these films and their merchandise to decide which they like better.

We wouldn't need a longer cut if the existing one didn't have so many plot holes and so little character development.

And I enjoyed the movie, but a longer cut would at least flesh out the film.

I know first thing I wanna do is rip the movie and re-edit small things in the opening with Bane.

Speak for yourself, bud. I'm always down for an extended cut. Yes, a theatrical experience is great, but with home video, they add deleted scenes or extended cuts, it makes it feel like you're watching the movie again for the first time rather than seeing the same movie.

I cautiously agree. I went to the late night showing and by the third act I wasn't so much thinking how captivated by everything I was as much as I was wondering is it finally getting close to the ending. I liked it, but for such a long movie, a lot of the plot points felt cluttered and poorly developed.

Like you said, if extra content can actually improve or flesh the characters out more, then I say go for it. If not, it'll just turn a bloated movie into an even more bloated one.

Nolan hasn't admitted it but, it's obvious because the scenes in the order they are now leave continuity issues and the script for the film confirms that the theatrical cut has those scenes in the wrong order.

If it was a case of editing mistake he might has been rushing due to budget constraints or to make release date.
