I like the gameplay but playing solo, I'm already having trouble with one of the first missions where you end up having to defeat a wizard. The first few times I tried it, I went in guns a blazing and didn't fare very well. Taking my time, I came pretty close just a few minutes ago but when it looked like I was close to defeating it, I became impatient, didn't worry about cover, tried to end it quickly and ended up blowing it. The first time I tried it, there was another online player battling it and seemed to be doing fine battling it solo. I was hoping I'd get credit by being close but it didn't seem to work that way. The player defeated it, ran around with me for a few seconds, probably realized I didn't know what I was doing yet and disappeared (probably went into orbit).

I spent all my glimmer but didn't really pay that much attention to what I was doing since I was just visiting the various places at the tower and buying whatever I had enough for.

IMO, the graphics look pretty good but at times they're just so-so (from what I've seen so far anyway). Voice acting (for my character) seems good at times and not so great at times.

I haven't tried to co-op or anything like that yet but did see some people here listed in-game. It also said one friend was in the area at one point but I never saw anyone and I'm not sure why that is.

How does that work? Does it just put you into a random person's game automatically?

I'm not sure but it seems like to me that you'll see random online people while you go about the missions. I'm not sure if I could have just joined his battle without his permission or if I would have had to be invited. Basically, I was just doing the beginning mission and noticed as I got closer to the structure, there were blue icons showing up in the distance. It looked like two but once I got inside, I only saw one guy (another online player I think) battling one of the enemies. I was trying to figure out if I should help or if I could help or if they were just another enemy to battle when the guy defeated the enemy. I'm pretty sure he was another online player because he then followed along with me for a bit and then just disappeared (once I was getting ready to trigger the same battle he had just completed -- I think). I didn't have the mic attached so I'm not sure if I could have heard him talking or whatever. At the tower, which it calls social, you see lots of online players running around buying stuff and it says that is where you form alliances before going out to battle. You can also see what your friends are doing and invite them to join you.

Edit: You can definitely just start helping out other online players when battling general enemies.

Got done playing for a bit. My impressions not to bad, better then I thought it would be. Graphics are decent (maybe a bit downgraded for alpha??), music very halo'ish. Id say 8 of 10 of what i played. I am pre-ordering, more intrigued now then when I first heard of it.

Question I have is how much of this can you play alone? Just in case I dont want to play with anyone I dont want that to limit my play time with it?

Played to the Wizard. It was ok. It's alpha so we'll have to see how it comes along. I'd also like to see more loot in the world. Hope there are random rare drops off any mobs too. Because otherwise the world size won't matter since there are no real rewards for exploring.

I was a hunter so I had a rifle and shotty.

I also noticed mobs respawned fast in a couple points. Guess you could grind levels there or something.

Enjoyed it my 90 mins of playing time... Surprisingly.

I'm really not an MMO guy and when I get to the tower and see all the upgrades , weapons, etc I get overwhelmed, but I'm giving it time because I was having fun .

This game looks great and it's very fluid so far. I didn't do any online competitive, just explored with a buddy.

Looking forward to playing more
