Best episode of season 15 so far.
Sorry to point this out but it’s season 14. Was a good episode.

^^^ A 15th season would be awesome though. I wonder if it could be in the cards still. The petition to keep the show alive and well here is sitting at over 16,700 signatures.

God bless you always!!!

Tonight's show was good stuff, but sadly according to this write up here, all good things do come to an end.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. Why can't they have it go until next year? 2025 marks Frank's 20th year as commissioner and it will also mark Jamie's 15th year as a police officer.

Best guess is they simply don't want to continue. Best cop show ever and it had a great run, last season is some of its best, too.

so he's about 90 now damn. so there's that and the rest? i wonder ? i had forgotten about they said his age. i remember that episode it was a good one. it's heartbreaking that once this season is done next season only has apparently only 8 episodes and will be done by December well unless of course they at least minute renew it. my guess is they are ending since the Frank and Pop are getting up there in years and they don't want to have to write Pop dying in the show? i'm going guess on this i have really no proof of course.

2035? i'd love that too but who knows if Selleck will even be around that long & Frank will long have retired by than plus Pop will be long gone by than as well. Danny will if he's playing his real age will be in his 60's himself by than i think? slim as i call Garrett will have retired as well i dunno how old he is in the show or real life. but it'd be nice if the show lasted that long

She said 2025, not 2035.

Finally finished the episode, was sidetracked by 10 film SW marathon.

Solid episode, it was nice to see Janko becoming closer with her CO.

Tonight's show was good although, I hated how Erin's situation turned out. I was glad that Jamie let Joe Jr. know what truly happened to the car that belonged to Joe Sr. It was also good to see Joe Jr. ask about Jamie's mom. When Sean got to where that girl was being robbed, I thought that he was going to take a swing at the perpetrator, but when he ended up getting slashed, I was like, "You would think that he'd know some self-defense with his dad being a cop and all."

God bless you always!!!

Sean has never struck me as the type to be able to step to others in a physical manner. Seems like he actually tries to avoid physical fights with other people.

I still miss the earlier seasons where they had recurring plots, like the Blue Templar. Or when they'd switch it up with Danny's partner.

I'm glad they solidified Danny's partner but Esposito is my favourite.

Getting to hear Jamie and Eddie remember their vowels after five years of marriage in my opinion was a great way to end tonight's episode.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. I also loved hearing Henry and Frank trying to sing "Amazing Grace" at the end of the church scene.

i agree about Sean i also think that he was caught off guard even if he was able to fight him. it was a good finale though and i hope they change there minds on cancelling it so we can get season 16. Tom Selleck has said we are getting season 15 it's next season they according to him changed it from being a 2 part season and if that's the case i love that they did that at least. i don't think CBS is gonna change there minds though.

I don't think they will change their minds either. There was an interview I read a week or so ago with one of the producers, and he said they had just finished laying out the story for the final episode and they made sure all the current threads are tied up nicely so that fans aren't left with anything hanging.

On a related note for those who may be interested, Tom Selleck has written a memoir that just came out this week, which I'd heard nothing about. Hope to pick it up soon.

“We love this cast, we love their passion for the show,” Reisenbach said last month. “All shows have to come to an end. It’s important to us to refresh the schedule. We are going to end the show come December.”
All good things come to an end, eventually.

I just don't know where a spin-off could go, every single character feels like they're progressing towards a natural conclusion for their stories.

All the characters quit the force to sell reverse mortgages.
