I'm someone who doesn't care about mega juiced up surround sound either but it's not so much about "quality", it's about having a version that replicates what the viewer would have originally heard, possibly for years or even decades of being a fan of the movie, only to have it summarily changed with different music timings, radically different sound effects etc etc and have them pretend that the original never existed. You don't need to be an audiophile who's running the loudest, most expensive Dobly Atoms 27.3.15½ speaker system to be able to discern what's been changed and what's not, it's more a matter of memory.

If that doesn't bother you either then that's cool, but some people have seen their favourites so many times that they're burned into their neural pathways. So yeah, OG mono audio for me also.

That is a little off-putting, lol. So there's an alternate cut: An American Werewolf in London, The Romantic Comedy?!

Alright with the John Landis tagline, not so much the The Monster Movie one, also, never thought that was part of the original poster until now, weird. Thankfully, for a change, actually love the new artwork, so no biggie for me.

Arrow made the right choice with keeping the poster text. I still wish SF/AB had kept ALL NEW on Halloween II.

Yea, agree, with the ALL NEW tagline, mainly cause I remember that from the poster, as well as Robocop one, where as this, the opposite.

If you're talking about the collector's edition to Halloween II for the SF release it has the ALL NEW on the reverse side original artwork.

Interesting, it's not on the Deluxe box set.

Let me clarify. I was talking in terms of sound quality - the mega juiced up surround sound variety I'm a strong believer in original soundtracks being retained whenever a film gets a remaster or a re-release. No question about it. Actually, come to think of it, I'm not a huge fan of what I call "invented" soundtracks, either. I mean, it's OK if someone soups up an old film's audio with fancy surround sound but I wouldn't want that happen at the expense of the original. There's plenty of room (I think) for multiple audio tracks on discs so it shouldn't be an issue. But, yeah, dropping an original mono track should NEVER happen.

Which makes it all the more weird that they aren't including the tagline on the Robocop poster.

Can anybody who's seen the Limited Edition booklet comment on the writing included?

Is there any confirmation that the 5.1 audio has at least been fixed for the pitch issue?

Who can listen to a horribly out of pitch copy of "Bad Moon Rising" and not complain?

It renders the botched audio completely unlistenable.

Just went into my junk folder and noticed I had a “subscribe” notice from Diabolik. I subscribed in hopes that it wouldn’t slow down their shipping to me as this is the 1st time I think I’ve ever ordered anything from them. Does this make any bit of difference in regards to shipping?
