That seems to be the right answer. Knowing Shout, though, even the menu labels can end up being untrustworthy. Just look at Return of the Living Dead.

Didn’t know that! An excellent excuse to rewatch it yet again this weekend. I’m feeling spoiled as some of these highly desirable classics continue to roll out in 4k. I’d like to see Cujo get some 4k love for its anniversary, not that I’m comparing it to Carrie.

Why does everybody keep buying the dang steelbook of this release?! You’re sending the wrong message to Scream Factory, they’re gonna start thinking people actually like their dumb new artwork. Stop it!

Artwork is fine. Much better than the overly busy "let's cram 5 scenes from the movie onto the cover" approach that a lot of Shout custom art has.

To be fair, that's how many vintage movie posters have been for decades, showing highlights from key scenes of the film. It's all a matter of how tastefully it's done.

Carrie is a stone classic, and just felt like it deserved something more than a rubbish plastic case. I know this is very polarizing art, and I can understand why some folks hate it, but I actually think the steel looks great in person. I'm going with Jay on this one. I grabbed two copies for the collection. No regrets. If the film ever drops on 4k again with a slightly better encode in future, I'll likely toss that right into the steels. And if the steel goes oop, it'll have some extra collector value down the line also, in case that sort of thing matters to some folks. Shop smart, shop S mart. The steel is real.
