Yea, I have to go back now and steal the little TV back from my mother, - I'll use it as a monitor in my bedroom, and use the HTiB for speakers, get a USB/DVD/CD/DivX player, and just hook my laptop or flashdrive into it all for music.

I'm still in shock that I just bought that.

JJ,

Great move. I love my 50" PRO-111FD. I just didn't have space for a 60" in my present living situation. That will change when I move though. Will continue to use the 50" with a projector when I find/build a home.

Rich

Congrats JJ! I have an agreement with the wife, no new TV until next year. I just hope I can still find a Pioneer or hopefully the new Panasonics are comparable.

If not, I will probably wait another year to see what comes out.

I am thinking so as well. I have a great set now, I am content. So, waiting will only secure a bigger/better set in the long run....

Are you kidding? I'm coming from a native "1,200:1" contrast ratio. I didn't have blacks, I barely had dark grays. (Should be noted that the contrast ratio really means very little)

I'm going to watch the Descent first. I've been scared to watch that one on my old Philips, never did. Then Underworld: Evo. Then Hellboy II. There's a lot I want to test out this baby's power on.

Hey JJ, if you're looking for a bedroom TV, why not a projector? It's cheap!

J does your pioneer AV tell you when the LFE is being used? i was at BB today checking out an elite receiver, they were playing x-men and whenever some bass would happen the receiver would read LFE. i thought that was cool.

I've just seen TDK SOOOOO many times, it'll be quite boring - want to see something I've seen not at all or very little.

It does, I think - but I usually have the display on off, so I don't remember...
