Very happy to see that progress is being made on MMI, by Dark Force....

The Bill situation is oddly conflicting, though. His condition makes me sad because it is terrible and he deserves better. I feel terrible for him, of course, as we all should. Given how many times in my life I've been suffering and the thing that got me through it was a stack of Code Red releases, with Lifeforce added in, he is a person I genuinely believe actually matters. But the fact that he is finally getting the kind of care that can significantly improve his quality of life makes me happy for him. Dialysis clears the mind, by literally clearing toxins that can cross the blood brain barrier, and takes away a lot of the terrible renal impairment side effects like falling asleep, falling down, getting confused. He's finally getting the care he needs. I'm glad he is being cared for. Once they get him back on his feet, he can select a facility and move for a while. Mayo in Florida is good. Apparently they have a different population pool, allowing for more organs to less patients needing them. But there are far more transplant centers, at this point, than when my first family member got a transplant.

Point is, Bill matters more than the films he puts out, precisely because he has been the guy who put them out when no one else would and he did a wonderful job. Yes, DF will put more copies of SoaWN up, but that isn't the most important thing.

The latest in defalco's sad and pathetic attempts to drum up business:
BANANA MAN: HELL IN A CELL- Ladies and gentlemen your kind attention please. While we understand many of your frustration regarding the current Code Red new release SCREAMS OF A WINTER NIGHT with all due respect Banana Man is sitting in a decrepit rehab center with no use of his right arm, unable to walk on his own and in diapers with plenty of time to read every post on here and the forums. He is very upset with all the people complaining that they can't have the movie now while he is fighting for his life and in need of a kidney for survival. Furthermore he is threatening not to release any more of the inventory after we sell the batch we just got in from his cousin! He says he is in hell right now and doesn't need the aggravation. So there you have it. The Dark Force Superstore is reopening this weekend with what may very well be the last batch of SOAWN until further notice from the president of Code Red himself!

This is what happens when you are a fifth-rate businessman who tries to create fake demand through staggered releases all the while selling copies through your ebay store. Maybe if df didn't turn a man's suffering into a marketing tool then this kind of shit wouldn't happen. I assume that if they stop selling the disc then it will pop up at a premium price on the store in a few months and a tagline that it's cheaper than ebay.

Waits for the two df faithful to tell us this is fine and that df is a genius wrestler man who has many success in his life though so to everyone else he's a failed wrestler, a failed filmmaker and now a failed label owner. In fact the only thing that df has been consistently successful at is failing.

Fake demand huh! We put up hundreds at a time and they sell out in minutes so how is that fake? And for your information Whedon Dark Force is a huge success and before that I made seven figures in the movie business, own multiple properties worth several million and have a diamond Rolex probably worth more than your entire net worth. So if that's your definition of a failure then please show me how you have done better. I'm not one to brag cause on the Hollywood totem pole I'm not anywhere near the top but on the other hand I'm not gonna get insulted by an internet troll that more than likely couldn't afford the clasp on my watch.

Thank you Christophah, he probably flips hamburgers at McDonalds. Not that there's anything wrong with that but he shouldn't go around insulting other people's efforts. I never got into the movie business to try and one up anyone. I got into it because I was obsessed with horror movies as a child and it was a dream to go from Boston to Hollywood California and try to do something in the toughest business on earth. We are going to aim to try and open the store tomorrow late afternoon. I've been trying to assist Bill with his many needs right now so it has hampered business a bit. But the store is loaded up and will be reopening this weekend for sure.

Hundreds at a time, wow such huge numbers. Take away the eBay scalper sales and you knock a big chunk out of your huge hundreds selling title. My point was that there is demand for the title but its fake demand inflated by the shitty way you release it. For someone who is such as success how come you can't afford to hire staff and run df like an actual label, rather than some side project a housewife does when the kids are in school?

The constant shilling of your titles on Facebook comes across sad and desperate and the fact that you can't keep your store online 24/7 says more than enough. df is a fourth-rate affair that appears to be you taking advantage of Bill in order to make a couple of bucks.

As for your watch df, I'm sure that it's as fake as your much talked about successful wrestling career. Actually speaking of wrestling, I've asked a number of times but care to share some links to this career as a successful wrestler you so often mention? The only evidence I can see of it mentions in reviews of how bad your films are.

Stay classy df, I actually have quite a great job doing something I love and am well paid but I'm also not such an ******** that I feel the need to look down on people who work in fast food.

I've actually worked with some people who have worked with you in the past and well, they took you as seriously as a filmmaker as most people on here do as a label head.

Just to add, I take no pleasure in shitting on a genre label, I love genre cinema and support labels like VS but I just find your abuse of Bill ****ing disgusting which coupled by your shitty business practices makes df a label that I am happy to ignore. Anyone who resorts to using a mans deteriorating health to shift stock is a dick. There is no need for it df, why not just let Bill's titles speak for themselves rather than this constant shilling and veiled threats like "Banana Man is sitting in a decrepit rehab center with no use of his right arm, unable to walk on his own and in diapers with plenty of time to read every post on here and the forums. Just saw that Stephen Biro weighed in and commented, he is spot on with his post.

From the df facebook page: "Gotta chime in... Dark Force Entertainment... what the ****? Your either working with Bill or your ****ing him over. You have shown 2 different video's of Bill in the hospital. Notice two are with wound's from diabetes and then notice... two are not. No bruises, soars or open wounds. People are *****ing to me about this... why? I don't know, different dvd company I guess.

Playing around with the website? How can it not be open 24 hours a day? Your ****ing with the fans who collect. What the **** are you doing? Your also playing up Bill's health and that is shitty as a human being can get. Telling everyone he got his head stuck between the toilet and the bathtub with a shit in the toilet... that was his medical emergency but you knew it was diabetes related.

Just ****ing sell dvd's... and blu rays... that's your job. What your supposed to do! Pretend the movie is rare if you have to but stop ****ing up the collectors market and abusing/manipulating Bill's health for a gimmick."

Yeah dude. Look, I'm not a shill in anyway, if it fits my trollic intentions sure but nevertheless not a troll.

You can't be taken seriously here, first you post the most disrespectful tearing down of demon, his label, his past etc.. AND THEN try to act like you are a nice guy that wouldn't DARE disparage those poor fast food folks, GTFO dude,
Yeah youre not such as @$$--le that you'll talk down to fast food people but you will tear down a filmakers accomplishments and be completely disrespectful.

Guess what else, you're going to miss out again on the Blu Ray you want when the store goes up.

Hey Dark Force how about a $45 total preorder bundle for forced entry + blackout to ship together whenever they are both ready?

I would prefer not to see any more bundles.

I just want the fair chance to buy the stand-alone Blu-rays that I want to buy at normal business hours, as opposed to being limited to narrow time windows in the middle of the night.

I'm sorry to have to say this, as it shouldn't need to be said and because you should have taken one look at your original post, which I have edited above, and deleted it for being beneath you. David has never demanded nor has he attempted to force anyone to buy anything from him. He is the same as any other small label owner, offering, not forcing. Like you, he has the right to be who he is, at home or at work, take him or leave him, because that's how life generally works in a free society. We're all free to be who we are, thank God.

To that end, Bill is not a child being victimized by some wrestling-monster. He loves wrestling type antics, which is why he hired Katrina so many years ago, why he took on the persona of The Banana Man and why he was interested in working with David DeFalco and Dark Force, in the first place. If he didn't like the guy who filmed the hilarious little skit in morgue as a publicity stunt, he wouldn't be working with him now. Bill Olsen is a grown up, just like you, free to make his own decisions.

I second that, however, if they both came out in, let's say, March, I would love to see a pre-order bundle for LV/FE and MMI with Blackout, for $65, with a little note that says "Will ship together when Mirror Mirror I arrives in April/May". That would make me very happy, as I wouldn't have to worry about remembering to pay attention and order them when they come out. Also, that would cut down on scalping-hoarder orders.

He has no way to prevent scalpers from buying, given how easy it is to set up alternate email addresses, alternate forms of payment and even alternate delivery options, other than canceling orders over a certain size. The bundles greatly discourage scalpers from buying the individual releases in order to scalp. In fact, given what happened at both the first and second sales outings for SoaWN, we have concrete proof that it stops the scalpers in their tracks to bundle a title. Plus, many who are going to buy both anyway are able to score a wonderful price. I agree, he should still sell the stand-alone, but if more were in bundles, more real fans would have gotten the release, instead of those 100 or so scalper copies floating on ebay since release day.

Sure, they should be made available seperately too on preorder for a bit more $, the bundle getting a little discount like bundles usually do. If DF cuts down on the total number of packages they have to ship it will reduce the current delays, so new release discounted preorder bundles like Severin does is one way of helping with that.

I think offering preorders can will help with managing delays on new releases as it will give a better idea of how much will need to be packaged and allow some cushion time on packaging orders from replication.

Plus, I simply made the suggestion as I'd like to preorder both these titles!

I don't even care about an order not shipping for more than a week - as long as I secure the order I'll be happy.
