Saw this today. I liked it. I thought it had a great balance of action, humor, and a surprising amount of heart. To me, TWS is still the clear winner in the MCU, but I believe this belongs in the upper tier. I'll have to watch it again, but in terms of ranking the MCU films, I'd probably place it within the #2-5 range, along with The Avengers, Iron Man, and (gasp!) The Incredible Hulk.

I definitely noticed that as well about it having a great balance of action and humor and heart. This movie is a really great addition to the marvel cinematic universe. After I saw Guardians of the Galaxy I realized that, I really want to see a sequel to it because of how great that Guardians of the Galaxy turned out to be.

Going to see it for the second time. It's not often I see a movie twice in the theater... She doesn't know I've seen it already. I know she is going to love it.

Not even close to deserving all these near-perfect scores people have been dishing out, in my opinion, but I suppose over-hyping Marvel films seems to have become the norm. Definitely worth a watch with some decent action and comedy, just not on the Avengers/Winter Soldier levels of enjoyment.

7/10.

Pretty much. I liked the movie but it's not nearly as fresh as people are saying. I'd go with 7/10 as well.

I'm curious as to what the box office numbers are going to be for this weekend. It would be interesting to see if GOTG beats TMNT.

Upon seeing Guardians for a second time, I'd like to change my vote to 2-stars.

Did you see it sitting upside down in IMAX3D though?

I think that could be your problem.

That was pretty much my reaction. I gave it 4/5 here and 8/10 at the IMDb. Highly enjoyable, but not at the level of The Avengers, either of the two Captain America films, or the first Iron Man.

I was surprised to discover that the Russian space dog was actually a character from the comic. I assumed it was supposed to be Laika, the dog that the Soviets had launched into space in one of the Sputniks. Loved the cameo by
[Show spoiler]Howard the Duck!

While I'd even give it an 8 out of 10 I'd still like to say thank you. It's definitely not as good as Iron Man, Avengers, or Cap 2 in my opinion.

This is easily my favorite Marvel film. Less serious in tone than other Marvel films, but it was more entertaining to me. Great action and I was surprised at the amount of comedy.

Hopefully, they'll dive deeper into the backgrounds of the individual characters in part two since they haven't gotten their own films.

Note you said "Your Opinion". So clearly people disagree with him and you.
