Damn, you're making me jealous with that pic! Can't wait to grab some myself, although with the current price of the RC-50s I will probably have to get the 30s. Those should be fine since my living room will probably not be that big anyway. I'm looking to buy at the beginning of April.

Looking at the set ups below, which one looks better to you guys?

2x RC-30s as L/R

I've had my L/R 50s since September of last year I believe and the center 50 is only a couple of weeks old. I paid $600 for the L/R I think and $250 for the center.

The RC-30s aren't a huge step-down, unless you're in a huge room or are going without a sub.

I haven't heard the LCR, but being a 3-way design, it may be better than an RC-30 (how much better, I have no idea). Also, having identical fronts is the optimal set-up.

If running wires isnt to difficult which surrounds should I go with?

Should I just match the front speakers and get the CR-10 Surrounds or some CB-10 bookcase speakers for the rear?

(sorry speaker noob but want always wanted a home theater in the basement / never ran wires before)

Congrats on the great deal! I payed $800 for CF50's and $300 for CC10 3 months ago. Now I wish I would have waited for tax time

I could have picked up an Emotiva XPA3 for $520 (Christmas Deal) and still payed less! Oh well, live and learn. Enjoy the new system!

The towers are sold individually so it's not a problem Justin was able to get just one without having to ask the dealer to split a pair.

And the left and right is his main fronts.

Yes absolutely I think his screen is the white wall it is used in HT

Best front sound stage you can have.

That's good that they are, I wonder why bookshelf speakers are sold as sets. I never really thought about it until now.

some companies will sell individual bookshelfs, Dynaudio will build you one bookshelf if you want for a 3 bookshelf setup.

How come you didn't buy a third instead of the center channel? When I was buying mine, it crossed my mind a little, but they gave me some story and I didn't challenge it.

The thing for me, is that I won't have enought clearance to have a 14" tall bookshelf in-front of my TV. If you see my room, I have a lot of windows behind the TV, so I cannot wall mount and then to the left is the back door and the right is a mirrored wall, so I cannot wall mount there either. IF I was able to wall mount, then I would have done that.

Correct you are. With the component rack off to the side, it gives a nice clean look to the front of the room. It took some getting used to though, it looked a little bare at first.

You could get a stand with an integrated mount. Something like this for example.

C-500s. they will be close to the performance of the CF-70s and better then the CF-50s
