Whoa, congrats BigDumbWookiee! That is so cool.

I'd mentioned in the Deals thread I'd make a cover for those who wanted to replace the OMEN box. Here are 2 options, let me know what you think. Also, I'm not sure what the spine size should be - let me know what works for you. I can also split them up into 2 2-BD cases, or whatever.

I changed the back design of the Disney series so they are just as simple but a little more informative: specs! (Dutch version, but the only diffence is the availability of Dutch audio and subs)
PM for HQ link.
These are sweet!

The current plan is the modify a Target "Vintage Game Collection" game box. But, like my "well laid" plan for modding the NES cart and putting a disc inside, we'll see how it all works out.

Wow, those look good. However, it could help if you put in some pictures at the back of the cover.

Yeah, I was just trying to get all the features on there without the type getting too small (esp printing a dark cover). Maybe I'll alternate thumbnail shots of the BD/DVD covers on the left and right. Thanks!

EDIT: Updated covers, thanks again for the input! (May need to refresh browser to see revised art.)

This is gonna sound weird...but can anyone make me a few varrying templates to use in Windows Paint? I figure it's gonna be a while before I can really understand gimp, and since I mostly make simplistic covers, Windows Paint works best for me at the moment. The template I use may not be the perfect specs as well.

So I'm drawing on inspiration from the trunk set, and this is going to be in the style of a large library book, hopefully looking like something you might find at Hogwarts. Waiting for the box to arrive, then off to mod it and set it up to hold discs. In the meanwhile, here's a sneak peek at art that will be used for the front:
Did you print the SP cover on cardboard? If so where? I've been wanting to print a custom slipcover for a long ass while but don't know where to go.

I'd seriously just get gimp or photoshop and learn from there. Paint is so limited that you're just going to get pissed. Even if you're trying to do REALLY simple stuff.

I know that's not a direct answer, or what you want to hear... but it's the truth. I've tried working in paint and it's awful... I'm not great in photoshop by any means... but you can definitely learn as you go.

And i don't THINK you can have layers in paint, though I'll admit I haven't messed with Paint in a while... But layers are the best thing you'll ever discover in creating covers.

Those are excellent, HanaBi! I really like the boy/wolf shadow version, although I'm torn because the raven is the original cover...
But I definitely prefer the back with pictures of the individual movies; it helps pull the collection together.
All of the movies have so much striking imagry (e.g. the 666 logo, the boy/cross shadow, etc.) it would be impossible for me to choose a single design, but you've pulled both variations together well.
Do you know if the spine thickness for a 4-disc case the same as a 5-disc case? (like I mentioned to you earlier, I'm gonna stick the fifth movie in the case, too.
Thanks for all your hard work!

There are two piece I did, the standard blu-ray cover insert, and then the NES box. The NES box doesn't function as a slipcover though, different dimensions. It holds the NES cart, which holds the movie disc. I designed and layed it out. Got it printed/assembled by a custom NES box guy.

Not sure, I don't have the box on hand just yet. Like I said, it's another one of my "well laid plans" I tend to put the cart before the horse sometimes.

Not sure - but if you give me the spine thickness for your case, I'll adjust the covers accordingly (same for anyone else who wants one). Thanks!

There's some talented guys here and I've enjoyed visitingvthis post as its updated....so I have a question.....

Are ANY of you guys wanting to make money?????

The guy I had that printed covers out for me from 9 covers and covermaniacs or whatnot doesn't have access to the good printer at his job.he charged me 2.00 a cover plus shipping. Hell I would spend no less than 40.00 an order so there's money to be had, Hell I spent well over 400.00 in custom covers through him.come on someone....ANYONE ....shoot me a message you make some money and I get some kick ass covers (look at my custom cover) album to see what I'm talking about. All I need is someone to print premade designs.....not make new ones.

Again fantastic work by all artist here

That's awesome! I knew it wasn't a slip, but I didn't know if you had it printed on the cardboard... So you could, technically, make a slipcover.

Yes, I suppose it is possible. Might have to look into it.

Design your slipcover and lay it out on an 11X17 size page. Add crop marks and score marks.

Take that file to a printer. Not Kinkos, but a legit place. They're a dime a dozen, so they should be easy to find. They should offer a fairly standard glossy white card stock. If you need thicker stock, go to an art store, where you'll have more choices. Don't worry about size, as it can be trimmed down.

They'll probably be willing to trim, score, fold, and glue it for you too, unlike Kinkos. If you're nice enough, they shouldn't charge you.

Time to start working on this one I guess.
Yeah, I'm annoyed by this packaging as well.

If anyone can make individual case art for each movie, I would be quite grateful. Something along the lines of Blu-Ray versions of the packaging art from the individual DVD releases that came out last year would be preferable.
