An actual British Cadbury Flake is more my jam...

Scotish Macaroons.... a confection made with POTATOS???

...and I thought HAGGIS was going to be a stretch... oh well, when in Scotland

Used to be made with potato. The shop based sort leave out the potato.
But yes, you are correct, whipped, smooth potato and icing sugar was the home made ingredients.

Ripples are better than flakes if you get the chance, much richer.

Can you stick that in an ice cream?

Absolutely.

My favourite ice cream cornet is a Lemon sorbet. Dairy ice cream, topped with a Lemon sorbet and a flake. Used to get them in Scarborough and Bridlington on holiday.

As I can not travel to England, you MUST send me samples of these chocolate "candy" bars. Nothing with peanuts, either. Throw in some of those Scottish macaroons while you're at it. Do it now. OBEY!

I’m a big fan of food in general. Thank goodness I don’t drink!

Well I do drink.. and I'm planning my meals 2 and half months before this trip.. so you can tell that I love to eat as well...LOL..

Although the fact that I'm on a diet right now and doing neither at the moment probably has something to do with that.

I want to look the way I did at 27, but I don’t want to give up my food preferences.

Hopefully you can share some pictures of your various meals when you travel, that would be cool if it’s convenient to take a few phone pics?

Over the next two weeks
[Show spoiler]I have six medical appointments. Just thinking about it exhausts me. It seems like being a patient is all that I do and all that I am now; a test subject to treat and to study.

Still, there is this milestone worth mentioning: in late March of last year I was given a prognosis of "about 1 year", yet here I be. I take my victories where I can find them.

And we look forward to your next milestone, April 1st 2025.

Best wishes for your latest appointments/consultations.

With all this talk of chocolate and ice cream, I must have put on some weight merely by reading these posts.

I know it's a bit late, but I hope everyone's having a good Easter.

Same to you mate, had a great one so far, heading off to the match in a few hours.

A reflective day for me, it’s my late Uncle’s birthday. He is in my thoughts often.

Totally understand. I felt the same when I lost my uncle several years ago now, and even though he lived in Spain and I only ever saw him when I went on holiday to see him, we were quite close and we had some great laughs together.

I discovered the ads I hate most are ads for a credit card that last 20 minutes that take place on a plane and are very loud so that whatever you may be listening to via noise cancelling headphones is not capable of competing with them. If you are using the on plane entertainment system that pauses for the duration of the ad.

I was more than happy to provide feedback when asked via email the following day. Holy smokes was that ad obnoxious.
